I wonder if this analogy applies to a thread on a message board. Especially when you will just go on and talk to the exact same people in other threads.

How about a follow through with that question then....
...Perhaps you could help me understand the real meaning.

A) It appears that SDA's admit that God indeed knows the end from the beginning.

B) It appears that SDA's admit that God, through the Prophets was explicit that God would provide Salvation.

C) It appears that SDA's admit that Jesus spoke of Himself as already having Salvation within Himself.

If God knows the end from the beginning AND communicated one part of that knowledge to us through the explicit teachings of the Bible then the only question that remains is one of interpretation.

Given that Ellen White interpreted the Bible to teach that Jesus actually could have lost His salvation and eternally ceased to exist - the question naturally becomes what authority or ability Ellen White had so that her interpretation outweighs everyone else who has read the Bible and reached the clear understanding that Christ was eternally the Christ and as such could do nothing at all but suffer and die for humanity.

I had a choice. God knew it.

Jesus had choices. But God knew how they would go AND predicted them.

Since He knew it would be successful, it is not risk.

And actually I wore some ugly brown pattern shirt because I was out of laundry! But God knew I would!

Based on DL's previous round of posts, and his declining to comment on whether he is an open theist, I am not sure he does believe God knows the future. Perhaps he can clarify.

What doesn't glorify God is that folks here are saying He could fail in what He promised.

He also promised salvation for all... is that going to happen?

Nobody here believes He would have failed for He was implicitly obedient to His Father... the fact that He had human nature and had the choice of disobedience is the point.

If God promised it and foresaw it then there was no risk of failure. Ellen White's statement talks about the risk the pre-incarnate Christ took by coming here.

Now if God promised it and they knew it would work, how can you call that risk?
