• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"God" is not a reasonable response to any question requiring evidence

Really, newbie?

There's no thread here that someone once started asking us what we have learned since coming here; and I didn't post in it?

And for the record, the ones who need to 'learn nothing' are you guys; not I.

You can start with what is called creatio ex nihilo -- creation out of nothing.

And until you learn nothing as it applies to creationism, you'll not understand much of anything.

WOW -- I gave you a way out of your own mistake by agreeing with you; and what do you do? you change the wording!

Solid aurum.

You want to compare your Friend's List to mine, newbie? or compare your pats on the back in PMs to mine? or would you like to compare the words of encouragement you get from your buddies to the words of encouragement I get from mine?

You're not 1/16 what I am here -- so don't act like you know twice more than I do and expect me to feel more ignorant.

Then why do I usually have the most posts in most threads in C&E (until just recently), with some threads where I have twice as much as the 2nd poster does -- newbie?

No, thanks.

I think I'll just sit back now and enjoy your contemporaries telling me how narcissistic & arrogant I'm being.

If it puts people like you in your place -- it's well worth it.

Trying to bully people with your post count and join date again AV? Post count does not equal knowledge. Join date does not make someone correct. It just means that those of us who posted back then can actually remember a time when having a dialog with you was interesting and respectful instead of mean spirited. :sigh:

You know, Belk, you and Nostromo and all the others can just rant and rave all you want -- but where were you when a certain poster was basically stalking me and saying some things that were only meant to stick in my ribs?

I'm not really interested in your sighs, chief.

Well, I guess that makes all those posts about us evil atheists and nasty scientists A OK huh AV? You might have missed this but I am not an admin and am unable to control the actions of other posters. So I guess we can classify your martyr complex as having the same interest level as my sighs.

Then stop whining when a newbie makes me toot my own horn to put him in his place.

Moses.
Prince of Egypt.

Not one mention of him on a pillar or tablet.

Nothing.

#1 that's what I said.
But since you brought up the Hebrews being slaves... you dig your own grave.

No Moses was ever recorded by Egyptians, who were meticulous record keepers.
No Hebrew slaves were ever recorded by the Egyptians, who again, were meticulous record keepers.

And so there was no exodus.

You wanna try me again?

You are wrong.

The evidence is clear.
We now know that the Egyptians intentionally removed the whole episode of The Exodus and Moses from their history.

We also know that all Egypt had converted to monotheism in 1362BC which dove tails with genetic evidence recently establishing that Aaron lived at that same date.

Following Akhenaten's death, change was gradual at first.

Within a decade a comprehensive political, religious and artistic reformation began promoting a return of Egyptian life to the norms it had followed during his father's reign.

Much of the art and building infrastructure created during Akhenaten's reign was defaced or destroyed in the period following his death, particularly during the reigns of Horemheb and the early Nineteenth Dynasty kings.
Stone building blocks from Akhenaten's construction projects were later used as foundation stones for subsequent rulers' temples and tombs.

...No Moses was ever recorded by Egyptians, who were meticulous record keepers. No Hebrew slaves were ever recorded by the Egyptians, who again, were meticulous record keepers. So meticulous in fact that we know they slaughtered 21 cattle and 23 sheep every day to feed the workers who built the pyramids. And so there was no exodus.

I guess because the scriptures include minute details, you hold them in high regard as well.

Wow. It's interesting to see you having a tantrum and revealing your true self. Perhaps when you've finished having your tantrum you can write something sensible instead of ranting about how important you think you are on this forum. You haven't done yourself any favours with the above.

Why would anyone want or need to worship anything? how low must a persons state of mind get before they need to look for something to worship?
Why don't you ask Your Worship, Mr. Cameron?

You were asked what the oldest city in the world is -- if you don't know, just say so; don't bore us to death telling us why.
I ran across a web page with the oldest cities that people still live in. Mostly in Turkey. There is some interesting stuff out there on the internet and I can not seem to get anyone interested enough to look into it Ancient History.

If I don't care what the oldest city is, why would I care what the evidence for the oldest city is -- ^_^?

Why do you ask for evidence at all? You openly reject any evidence that goes against your dogmatic beliefs. You signature is a perfect example.

You have no excuse Phred.

(Rom 1:20) For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:

(1Co 3:19) For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

(Job 5:13) He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
(Job 5:14) They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night.

Because creationists refuse to engage the scientific community, so we have to bring the science to where the creationists are.
Bring your science right over here.

I'll show you what we do with it.

We already know what you do with it. You ignore it. We just want to show the lurkers who may be on the fence exactly what creationism is. Creationism is a rejection of evidence in favor of religious dogma. You are the poster child. Once the fence sitters read your post there is no longer any doubt that creationism requires a complete rejection of anything resembling reason, logic, or honesty.
