The argument "I don't want to believe hell exists, therefore it doesn't" is also profoundly illogical.Hell is for the non-repentant sinners, so of course it's not a good place nor is it meant to be a good place. If you don't believe there is such a place then I truly feel sorry for you.
Is hell a good or bad place?
If it is a good place, then why.
If it is a bad place, then why.
Or answer the poll.
Well, exactly. If you are so inclined to say its not a place at all, why ask the question about hell if it doesnt exist?
what...how?Hell is a bad place, but I don't believe in Hell, I only believe in Heaven.
I have chronic pain and I cant imagine God sending anyone to a place of eternal torment. I think it goes against His compassionate nature.what...how?
And if just heaven where do you believe the wicked and the sinners go if they don't change

Thank you for keeping me in your prayers about the chronic painIt's hard to imagine such a scenario but the problem is the scriptures tells us this scenario multiple times how hte wicked will be severed from the just. Also in revelations hell is tossed into an eternal lake of fire.
I understand it's hard to accept...but it's in the bible.
And I see man i'll keep in prayers for the chronic pain.
no problemThank you for keeping me in your prayers about the chronic pain
But that would mean that one could eventually accept such love if it is true, and therefore escape hell.
In my mind it doesn't, that's not to say it didn't. I'm inclined to ask this question to see if anyone can demonstrate how to arrive at a better conclusion than the logical fallacy "Hell is a bad place"If you are so inclined to say its not a place at all, why ask the question about hell if it doesnt exist?

Isaiah 45:7King James Version (KJV)It makes God out to be evil though. No human with compassion would ever torture someone for eternity. Why think God would? Unless God is morally ambiguous or evil.
Isaiah 45:7King James Version (KJV)
7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.
Yes I agree true love hurts you if your heart is unkind. But who could stand up to an eternity of burning love forever.I myself am very sympathetic towards Universal Reconciliation (the doctrine you're talking about), but I don't think that Saint Isaac's view of hell requires it--if you have hardened your heart past healing, it may well be that repentance is beyond you and damnation is eternal. Another variation of this type of view can be found here:
Then why say God is good if he takes responsibility for evil as well? I know the proper translation in that verse is calamity, but there are other verses that say God does evil in a city and that he sends evil and lying spirits.
Why not if the evil aka divine punishment he sends serves a good purpose?
why not if the people he punishes participate in things like sacrificing babies?
Lastly though if it's biblical...it's true though...
Gonna need sunblock infinity.Heaven is a bad place because it's a fiery pit where there will be a gnashing of teeth and wails.
Additionally, it will be hot and there will be tournament and it's divine punishment essentially.
I'm not sure if this is a joke though the question.
Not every act of evil or suffering serves a good purpose ever. A lot is just misery.
And as I added to another post above, the Bible was compiled over centuries, and the Gospel writers in their narratives don't read as if they were there or even knew anyone who was an eyewitness.
Gonna need sunblock infinity.
