First, using a proof text of the Book of Revelation and the mark of the beast has no bearing on today’s Christian for several reasons.First, one's faith must endure until the end of one's life, or it has been to no avail.
E.G. If one submits to taking the mark of the beast,
he has lost his salvation (Rev 13 and 14).
How far in the future brother? Many prophets have come and gone over the centuries with false predictions. For example William Miller and his "Great Disappointment". He caused such a great apostasy in the Body of Christ even spawning new forms of Christianity that are not scripturally sound.Re: (2) ... Most prophecy concerns the future!
So you agree with me afterall. It applies to everyone. No I didn’t say it only applies to the 11 apostles I said that Jesus was only speaking to His 11 apostles and not to people in general excluding the apostles. What I mean is this message is directed to the apostles. Surely it applies to everyone.
So you agree with me afterall. It applies to everyone.
I hear you!Take the time to test these prophets you hold so dear. Please.
Jesus, the Apostles and John the Baptist preached the Kingdom of heaven is near.I hear you!
But, for me, the words from the Lord through these people just simply confirm what I have learned on the Internet over the past 8 years!
Re: the times we're in, what's coming, etc.
For me, when several websites that I trust are saying the same thing, then I form an opinion! Then, along comes another one of the Lord's BACs saying the same thing ... another confirmation.
Kinda like God repeating Himself over and over in the Scriptures!
But those 7 churches are typical of churches everywhere at all times. They are not "church ages" unless solid scriptural evidence proves otherwise.
I'm not a Preterist. I'm Amillennial with a church made up of believers only. Jesus is Amillennial. The whole book of Revelation is PROPHECY through to the second coming of Christ. The letters to the seven "churches" are the "fullness of the Gentiles coming into spiritual Israel." Then Daniel 9:26 is fulfilled.
Romans 11:
25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
27 For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.”
Daniel 9:24-27
the matter, and understand the vision:
24 “Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,
To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness,
To seal up vision and prophecy,
And to anoint the Most Holy.
25 “Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
The street shall be built again, and the wall,
Even in troublesome times.
26 “And after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.”
Unfortunately, your preterist eschatological beliefs won't let you "see" this and you won't be able to see the 3-fold prophecy that these are also specific church ages (in order), but for anyone else, I post this.
I'm not a Preterist. I'm Amillennial with a church made up of believers only. Jesus is Amillennial.
I do not claim that. We are now in the last half of Revelation 20 where Satan is free to deceive the nations once again, in what people call the post Christian era.You have many of the preterist views such as Revelation was fulfilled in 70 AD. BTW, Preterists are also amillennial. So are Roman Catholics.
Didn't use the word "alone". Seems that was a deception on your part.
Let's see what the scriptures say the gospel actually is:
Which, of course, doesn't happen in the case of "true" believers, since they do go on to produce fruit. In fact "No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother."Absolutely any true believer must produce fruit and abide in Christ or they will be cut off from the vine (Christ), carelessly discarded to wither, and carelessly thrown into the fire to be burned.
Now in post #170 you claimed that here you were not claiming that I claimed that there were those who advocated salvation by works alone. So explain to me who the sentence "Who here ever, even once, claimed salvation by works alone" is addressed to. You said it's not addressed to me, so who is it addressed to? Or did I just catch you in a lie?Funny how there is always a deception that goes along with the claim.
Who here ever, even once, claimed salvation by works alone? Hopefully people will see that deception is exactly what it takes to make people to believe things that aren't true. And your claim was deceptive/a half truth completely changing what the bible claims.
Anyway, how do you get around the "Faith AND works", or the "Faith without works is dead" comments directly from the bible?
Do you not believe that very clear part of the bible?
Did..it was not clear. Is why i asked.Sorry, 'tis necessary to read the OP.
So very many do not realize that they already submit to the spirit behind the mark everytime they compromise the truth and then self justify it.Absolutely, and now people need to know
all that which "FAITH" encompasses!
First, one's faith must endure until the end of one's life, or it has been to no avail.
E.G. If one submits to taking the mark of the beast,
he has lost his salvation (Rev 13 and 14).
Second, one must be accounted among "the faithful".
E.G. Paul was only writing to "the faithful" when he was writing to the Ephesians (1:1) & to the Colossians (1:2).
Third, "the faithful" are faithful to what Jesus preached and commanded, etc., which is a lot. This includes such things as taking up one's cross daily and following Jesus!
Faith is a doing word.Didn't use the word "alone". Seems that was a deception on your part.
Let's see what the scriptures say the gospel actually is:
Romans 4
¶ What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, discovered in this matter?
2 If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about— but not before God.
3 What does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."
4 Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation.
5 However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.
6 David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
7 "Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him."
Romans 10
Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
5 Moses describes in this way the righteousness that is by the law: "The man who does these things will live by them." (Performance based salvation is justification by law)
6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’" (that is, to bring Christ down)
7 "or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
8 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:
9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
12 ¶ For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile— the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,
13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Justification by faith apart from works)
John 5:24 I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.
Nothing about salvation being contingent upon a person's works. What does it say of works?
Eph 2:8,9 it is by grace you have been saved, through faith— and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
Titus 3:5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy
These as opposed to the false gospel of the Neo-Circumcision who claim the justification is contingent upon one's ongoing performance. They have "faith". But their faith is in their works to qualify them to be saved rather than their faith being in Christ.
Which, of course, doesn't happen in the case of "true" believers, since they do go on to produce fruit. In fact "No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother."
2. It is debatable if Christians will even be here for that due to the rapture
I absolutely agree with this scripture. If a person is born again they cannot sin. Would you say a person who does not produce fruit and doesn’t abide in Christ is born again?
Wow! God doesn’t talk to me like that. But dont worry..your far from alone.
The lord showed me to leave the churched system altogether . because the foundations were broken and a mattress had been lain ovee the alter and the church had laid down on the mattress and prostituted itself with a golden calf.
