The only thing I can tell you is that God has future plans for you. Hopefully these plans are in the very near future. I am very sad to hear you are going through such a rough time right now. I will say a prayer with you now:

Dear Jesus Christ, please see your faithful son and help him to trust in your goodness. Bring him up out of his dark place and lead him to where you want him in life. Let him see where he is to go next. Lord God please provide your son with the basic necessities he needs to live life. Don't let him go hungry. Let your loving spirit relax him and continue to prove your undying love for him! Thank you for all the great things you have done.

In Jesus's precious name,

AMEN!

I hope God restores your life, my fellow brother in Christ.

Are you getting help from church family and your own relatives?

How are you making this post if you are broke, hungry and all your clothes are rags?
You have a wife, is she still with you?
Have you all applied for assistance from all resources in your area?

God will take care of you, you could have a job tomorrow and all your worries would be over...Give God time to work, don't start condemning Him out of spite for your own circumstances which you yourself probably had a part in. Remember that there are faithful believers in China, Africa and many other regions in the world where poverty and hunger are the status quo and yet they still remain faithful to the God who payed the price for their eternal soul. Many are hurting right now, just continue to trust, submit applications, eventually you will be back on your feet.

Blessings.

God promised in his Book "Look at the birds, are they not fed?" Such and such not clothed? I lost my business and am hungry in America and am without clothing or a job. I pray everyday yet I still suffer these things. Has God failed me? He promised us not to worry and we shall be taken care of. I have not been worrying yet have been faithful and here I am desolite and out of hope. I have actually gone hungry and my clothes are in tathers and torn because I can not afford such luxories. I have been faithfull and looking for a job forever now and nothing!!!!!!!!!!! WHY!!!! When these promises have been made to us. WHY GOD WHY!!!!!!!!!!! God didn't promise that we would not have hardships, sickness, or death, but he DID promise us the basic necessities of life in his good word and here I don't even have those. Someone please hire me, please God oh God why can't I be prosperous and fruitful?!?!?

Your clothes may be torn but you have clothes and you have been hungry but you didn't starve. The bible says to be content with food and clothing, these times may come. Paul said sometimes he was hungry too and a lot worse happened to him than has happened to you.

Also consider that his ability to provide for us often depends on the way we live our lives. Submit yourself to him, pray for his provision, never stop believing, God's failure should never be a choice of belief for you, that's not faith. God can't work with that.

God feeds the birds, but he does not put worms or food in their nests. He provides mainly, when the birds go out of the nest, and start looking around for food. Then God provides, while they are searching. They play their part, and God does his part, while they do theirs. It says in Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and Seek". It does not just "Ask" but "Ask and Seek".

Genesis 1:29, Psalm 103:5, Matthew 6:3,4,11,25-34, Genesis 1:27, Matthew 7:9,10,11, Ephessians 4:28, Psalm 25:13, Psalm 84:11, Proverbs 21:26, Proverbs 31:20, Acts 20:34, Luke 3:11, 1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 34:9,10, Psalm 33:19, 1 Timothy 6:8-10,17-19, Psalm 37:19, 25,26, Galathians 6:6-10, Psalm 35:27, Psalm 112:5, 3 John 2, Acts 14:17, Luke 14:12-14, Titus 3:14, Isaiah 58:7

Far worse than a military and terrorist attack put together, the spiritual attack from Satan can weaken the faith of Jesus within us and make many of us look like a laughing stock of failed Christians in front of non-Christians who seem to do fine without our spiritual protector Jesus Christ. Close Encounters of The Deceitful Kind - is what I describe Satan's power of evil against all of us poor folks. I have seen so much junkmail along with the free local paper in my letterbox, big and small businesses are wanting their products to get bought by us customers - junkmail that cannot appear in letterboxes by magic and requires the hard-working hands and walking legs of deliverers where no necessary qualifications are needed to deliver while walking. You can easily make easy pocketmoney for a few hours work each day doing junkmail and paper delivery. Work hard and prosper: just quoting from pointy-eared Spock from Star Trek.:*:. Praise Jesus, raise us Lord to be almighty strong in faith. (...raise our weekly wages as well).

Jesus taught about seeing God's providence built into creation. But Scripture also talks about the necessity of work to meet our basic needs. In the OT the larger society had responsibilities for the care of the poor and disadvantaged, and that theme is continued in the NT.

You are doing what you can to get work. Your church family has its responsibilty towards you while you are in such need. That's how God has arranged for your care.

Jesus said many things, among which is "in the world you have tribulation, but take heart, I have overcome the world". Whatever has afflicted you, God intends to use it for good. But it is most essential that you do not react in the natural and allow the affliction to cause you to doubt God. Instead, press in to faith, and stand on the promise of Romans 8.28. Then, you will be immune from the worst part of the attack - the spiritual side. Your emotions will be protected.

Look at Joseph, or David. Both beloved of the Lord, yet what they had to go through to be prepared for their high positions. It is no different with us.

Keep trusting in God. Yes, this is spiritual warfare, to take authority over your fears and emotions. But the fruit of the Holy Spirit is self-control.

God has ways of rewarding those who keep trusting Him even in hard times. He has ways of working silently behind the scenes, to capture the proud in their own conceits and to exalt the lowly that entrust themselves to His keeping.

Trusting Him in the hard places builds character and maturity. And according to God's perfectly efficient economy, those qualities are the very things that are able to deliver us from adversity, and bring us to new heights.

Ps 40.1-5

God didn't fail but you failed to understand what God has said.

Have you been seeking the kingdom of God and not your own kingdom?

Did you read the whole chapter and did you pray the Lords prayer and
HAVE YOU FORGIVEN OTHERS AS GOD HAS FORGIVEN YOU?

You accuse God now of failure and you do not even know what it is God requires of you.

God will keep His end of his promises if we will do as He has instructed.

You accuse God of being a liar when the truth is that you are the liar.

You read only what you want from the Bible and ignore the parts that
require you to act.

God is not a liar and I would advise you to read the whole chapter and to pray the Lords prayer
slowly, deliberately and with a heart of repentance
and I would advise you to forgive others, yourself and God.

Yes, forgive God even if you think He has failed you on His end
because He has forgiven you
when you have completely and utterly failed Him.

Matthew 6
Do Not Worry
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or
about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your
heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow.
They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was
dressed like one of these.
30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into
the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?
31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you as well.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

It is interesting that God loves a broken and contrite heart... and that fear is the beginning of knowledge, God answers the needy, not the haughty or wise.

I am not anyone has been haughty... but but fearing God, being broken and contrite and humble mean coming to God and saying "Lord I know your right, I know that I am the one who is wrong, I know that you can never failure, the failure must be with me and in all things I will revere you and give you praise because you are perfect... the problem is with me, it must be with me, help me dear Lord, let your face shine upon me"

God can't fail, you are going through either a trial or a bad spot and you can grow from this if you let yourself, or else it is for another benefit you don't always see right away. I'm sorry you're going through problems right now, I know how rough looking for a job is!

Number one I NEVER called God a liar!! Those are your words, not mine! and quite honestly it tells everyone on here more about you than you probably would have liked revealed. Also, my title was meant to be more of question and there's nothing wrong with that! I never lost my faith or quit praying, or quit reading the bible, or quit living for Jesus. It's human nature to question especially when we have doubts (which is human nature as well) We then in turn get lifted up through encouragement like some of these posters on my post. (Read "Heaven Is Real") Others just seem to not encourage but assume and thus pass all kinds of judgement. Those of you that called it a spiritual battle, YOU ARE DEAD ON!!!! Satan has been wreaking havoc on me!!!! (see third paragraph below) Also, I have been doing handyman work when I can get it so no, I am not idle!!! The business I purchased failed because the seller lied about the income when he sold it to me. Not much you can do about that people!! You can do your due diligence until you are numb, but you still have to put that %1 trust in somebody and that somebody took full advantage!!!!

Now to the positive, My fridge is fuller than ever thanks to family and friends. I can hardly eat it all!!! Not to mention prayer! I got the job I was after when I thought I had actually lost it! YAY!!! Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement those of you who actually did encourage and pray!!!! I know God can't fail, but I did fail to have %100 faith in him which we are all guilty of at one time or another!!! And that doesn't mean I failed as a Christian, nor does it mean I turned my back on Him.

This had actually been the worst summer in my 33 years on earth. In June I got a notice of an IRS audit which took 2 and a half months to resolve. I came out clean thank goodness!!! Some guy T-boned me and ruined my truck, I got a reckless driving charge for changing lanes without signaling (AZ is a rough state), My wife's grandfather passed away, and I lost my business in August, And then I broke out in shingles everywhere! All this within a 3 month span. Talk about Job!!!!

I am going to copy and paste most of what I wrote to someone else but I am in a bad boat myself. I practically just got laid off from my job and very soon I won't have a place to live, but you know I am going to do my best to make it work. I do see you have food and it seems like you have a place to live but have you considering going to shelter or some place that has resources to get you a job? Anyway here is a list of verses I had share somewhere else on the board and like I told the other person...All I can say is pray that God will open doors for you. Pray and be detailed about what you want in your prayers as well. God does answer prayers even if it's not in our timing. I know that seems to be where you are getting discouraged. Just put all your faith in Him and cling to Him even when times get tough. I know it's rough economy out there but trust He will provide, it seems you are. I'm not saying whatever you ask Him will happen and you will get everything you want. Just ask for wisdom and ask for His will to be done. Like I said cling to Him, I know it's very easy to get discouraged but these are times we need Him most. We are humans and it is okay to have doubts I believe faith can't work without doubts along the way as long as we overcome those doubts.

Here are some verses regarding prayer and needs and wisdom:

Matthew 21:22 (NKJV)
And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive-

John 15:7 (NKJV)
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

James 1:5 (NKJV)
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Also here are some great verses to read when you are feeling a little discouraged:

Jeremiah 29:11(NKJV)
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Proverbs 19:21(NKJV)
There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.

Proverbs 16:33 (NKJV)
The lot is cast into the lap,
But its every decision is from the LORD

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV)
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Profiting from Trials:

1 Peter 5:10 (NKJV)
But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

James 1:2-4(NKJV)
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Romans 5:3-5(NKJV)
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Anyway I hope some of this has at least help you a little and I hope you find a job soon and will keep you in prayer.

Welcome back...
Sounds like God is the only faithful one in your life. (through the actions of others)
Thanks for the praise report on God's faithfulness.

Many have far less than you do.
Many starve to death each day.
Compared to others you are blessed beyond measure.

Thank God daily for His provision in your life and continue
to praise God and He will bring you through.

I have been where you are and I can say that God is faithful
as He has brought me through.

We are all liars when we question God because God is ALWAYS RIGHT.
No man will fault God and win the arguement.
All will stand silent before Him and all accusation will end when
the truth of God's great mercy, love and kindness is revealed
in the face of our desperate wickeness and lack of faith.

Your title sounded like an accusation
so I mearly restated what is found in the word of God
because this is a place to hear His perspective
over our best practices and wishful thinking.

Anytime there is a question in my life about God and His inaction or supposed failures,
I whole heartedly repeat the following.
"Let God be found true and me a liar."

Romans 3
3 For what if some did not believe?
Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?
4 Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar.

God will bring you through if you will continue to put your trust
in Him and refrain from accusation.

A good friend of mine told me about a vision God had given him.

In the vision he saw his words of faith and truth travel to God on
golden strands that directly connected his good words to God Himself.
However whenever he spoke any doubt, accusation or words of discouragement,
his words were intercepted by the enemy who would then use the power
of his own words to wreak havoc in his life and bring fear, doubt and destruction.

The devil is the accuser of God and man so that if we allow him, he will
take our own words of faithless confessions, fear and doubt and use
them to bring destruction into our lives.

God created all things by the words of His mouth.

Our words also have power so guard your words carefully.

Begin to come into agreement with God's word.

Begin to confess that God is for you...

Come into agreement with God and you will untie God's hands in your life
in greater ways. Faith moves the hands of God, not doubt...

Romans 8:31
[ God’s Everlasting Love ] What then shall we say to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:32
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all,
how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and
of love, and of a sound mind.

Remember, your good words of faith go directly to God who hears them and acts on them for your good...

May God bless you and your family...

We wish you renew your strength in Jesus to try again.. Failure and bad times can make us lose courage.. It's difficult without support, so please try to find it.. Also pray that God helps you hope again. Without hope that you will overcome this situation it may be a difficult battle for you. You need hope of a better tommorow.. Ask God to reveal the dreams He has for you in life..

You may get what you want, but now you may be enduring a time of testing before God blesses you.. This pain is not forever.

Also please keep working hard for your goals.. Take action and don't sit there in passivity. Like Jesus said "Take up your bed and walk" - so get up, stop feeling pity for yourself and start to draw a new plan for the next phase of your life.. With God recovery and victory are possible! Don't stop trying to get the life you want..

We pray God blesses you! Christina and Teppie

People in NT days were eating barley loaves and fish, getting snake bites through their sandals, and sweeping their dirt floors. On hot nights they slept on their open roofs. Sometimes kept animals in their house to prevent theft.

We are on computers, in temperature-regulated buildings, get internationally-imported groceries within a few miles of our homes, have cheap public transportation to most important destinations if one of our cars isn't working.

We have our choice of great churches. We have phones to contact relatives who moved out of town. Our postal service delivers packages we order (crossing fingers) when we don't want to fuss looking for something in local stores.

Online and telephone help lines will answer our questions on how to cook turkeys, clean our chimneys, get a loan, start a business, choose a career, plan a sweet 16 party.

We are blessed. Even when we don't have cash in our pockets, we have so much more.

Talk about Job!!!!
For sure. Glad your situation improved, and life is more settled.

Notice how preachers these days have not been balancing their faith messages with passages like Job 38. When we don't humble ourselves before God and man, God knows for our survival and witness that He needs to lead us through some character development.

4 "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding, Who set its measurements? Since you know. Or who stretched the line on it?
"Or who enclosed the sea ... And I said, `Thus far you shall come, but no farther; And here shall your proud waves stop'?

Notice how this global economic crisis has followed a wave of over-confidence within the church.

It is important to hold to the promises posted above, but to also temper that with humility and appreciation for our Source. We need character-building... sometimes more than we need socks without holes.

:) Wonderful, I am truly happy for all that has worked out for you. I hope you did not feel that I said anything to the extent of you calling God a liar or of your failure in any aspect. I don't think anyone else here actually had those intentions either.

Happy for you!

I am so sorry for your tough time..your post got me choked up. Have you thought about going on welfare? They can cut you a check same day. Also too there are food cabinets where you can get clothes and food. craigslist is a very good place to find jobs and get a fast response. I hope these things help. God bless you.
