Ask Him; I think He loves to help His children (1Peter 5v7).I am very confused about this.
A very popular minister said this recently, my words. Since i am still confused about it after hearing this sermon twice i still need to hear it again.
He said don't expect God to do things you ask him to do. I've waited 50 years and it hasn't happened. I'm thinking he's talking about things like, help me not to eat to much,. Help me to make this green light. Help me make it to the bathroom, etc. Daily things? I ask God daily so many times for all my needs. This is a shock to me. What do you think?
I found this by David Jeremiah which seems to say that we should ask God for help. I haven't had time to listen to much of it so I hope it's relevant.
I ask the Lord for all sorts of things - the large stuff: where He wants me to live, work, go to church etc, but also the small things too. When I was driving to clients, in my last job, I often asked for a parking space. If we're walking in His will I think it's fine to ask the Lord for help. Of course He's sovereign so He may answer in a different way to how we expect, but He's always provided for my needs; praise Him.
