I apologize if I have taken your words wrong. I did attempt to clarify your position and I was left with the impression that your assertion stated Sunday is the new Sabbath.

Which gospel do you want people to use?

Acts 18
[After this, Paul left Athens and went to Corinth. There he met a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all Jews to leave Rome. Paul went to see them, and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them. Every Sabbath he reasoned in the synagogue, trying to persuade Jews and Greeks."

Luke 4
[Jesus Drives Out an Impure Spirit
Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath he taught the people. They were amazed at his teaching, because his words had authority.]

The Apostles and the LORD taught in the Synagogues during Sabbath and The Apostles collected offerings every first day of the week and the LORD rose early in the morning on that day. How am I to respond to both days? Because both days, seem to have particular tasks? :/

And you did with a questionable yes?? np but I had to respond to the alligations. I can ask the mods to change the thread title but that may not be possible. God changing the Sabbath is different than God changed sunday

See John 17. Jesus's Prayer.
We (ekklesia) respond to the Father, intimately, daily, continually, in union with Him living, as Jesus requested.

Note that as you learn more of the Hebrew language and days,
you'll find as everyone does pursuing Yhwh and Truth (this is His(Yhwh's) Direct Promise in His Word),
that Yeshua was already gone from the grave right after sunset on the 7th day.
English translations without knowing Hebrew mistakenly places the resurrection during 1st day a.m. (morning).

I did try to clarify your position, remember? You left me believing that your assertion is that sunday was the new sabbath, and when I stated as much you never disagreed that I saw.

BTW, you can change the title yourself, if I'm not mistaken, I could be though.

I just got on the puter to see that stated to others. It was not quoted to me but said to others so unless I read everything I wouldn't have seen it.

I have requested it changed. Whether it does or not remains to be seen.

You never responded to this post, leaving me with the understanding that you do believe Sunday was instituted by God, and that its the new Sabbath as well. I tried to clarify your answer. Anyway, I believe you can edit the title, if I'm not mistaken.

@Cassia I do apologize for the misunderstanding. It my desire to abolish the Sunday myth. We most likely have the same opinion about Sabbath and sunday, I'm assuming
We may have but at the moment I'm very busy with other things in rl to put much more time into the thread. At least the OP and title now match content. Enjoy the thread guys

"When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons."

There is no night in heaven, therefore no mornings and no days of the week.

Luke 24:5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?

Revelation 22:4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

Colossians 3 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

We Calculated this in a Messianic Jew forum and it seemed that Jesus was Crucified on a Wednesday and was placed in the Tomb at 6.00 p.m

Wednesday -Thursday (6.00 p.m - 6.00 p.m) =1 day
Thursday - Friday (6.00p.m-6.00 p.m) = 2 day
Friday - Saturday (6.00p.m- 6.00 p.m) = 3 Day
Sunday morning - Jesus was risen
(3 days and 3 nights in the tomb)

However, the Feast days were always counted starting from the following day in the morning but started at twilight of the previous day,

["These are the Lord’s appointed festivals, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times: The Lord’s Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. On the fifteenth day of that month the Lord’s Festival of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast.]

Matthew 28:1
28 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

Technically Jesus resurrection could have been considered Saturday night or early Sunday (which I agree on), like we would consider 11:59pm going to 12am. It was saying as the Sabbath was ending and it was going on to the 1st day of the week, he rose. He was just discovered risen Sunday when they got there near sunrise.

He was placed in tomb around 6pm(sunset) on Wednesday and at sunset on Saturday night he rose, which was considered the 1st day of the week, since a new day started at sunset and fulfilled the 3 days/3 nights. All 4 gospels said he rose early in the morning on the 1st day of the week, not at sunrise. They came at sunrise to see he was already gone.

He died @ 3pm on Wed and was placed in the grave right before sunset and rose right after sunset on 1st day of the week.
Wed 6PM-Thur 6PM= 1 night/1day
Thur 6PM-Fri 6PM= 1 night/1day
Fri 6PM-Sat 6PM= 1 night/1day

So you have 3 full days & 3 full nights. Jesus gave 1 sign and 1 sign only and it was he was going to be in the grave 3 days and 3 nights. If he wasnt in the grave 3 days & 3 nights aka Fri-Sun, HE IS NOT THE MESSIAH.

(3 days/3 nights)
14th Wednesday- Died @ 3PM and placed in grave right before sunset 6pm
15th Thursday- Sabbath(Feast of Unleavened Bread) No work allowed
16th Friday- Bought Spices to anoint the body
17th Saturday Sabbath- No work allowed & went to get more spices after the Sabbath & he Rose from the grave after sunset @ 6pm on 1st day of the week when Sabbath was over

If Jesus wasnt referring to a full 3 days and 3 nights, the best would be a Thursday
(3 days)
14th Thursday Died @ 3PM and placed in grave right before sunset 6pm
15th Friday-Sabbath(Feast of Unleavened Bread): No work allowed
16th Saturday-Sabbath: No work allowed
17th Sunday -went to get more spices after the Sabbath & Rose from the Grave after the sun went down Saturday, so this is early on the 1st day of the week.

But anyway you look at it, Friday is ruled out. That timeline showed the Sabbath ending when he rose and it was now the 1st day of the week, so a sunrise resurrection was ruled out as well.

Its not the end of the world if Jesus didnt die on a Friday, the bible will still be valid and just the teachings of Rome can be questioned, not scriptures.

Mistakenly, I have heard many say YESHUA Himself broke the Sabbath

and they will quote or site this verse as their proof

Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill Him, because He not only had broken the Sabbath, but said also that Elohiym was His Father, making Himself equal with EL. John 5:18

G3089 λύω lyō translated as broken here is translated 27 times as Loose and only 5 times as break or a variation thereof in an attempted legitimacy, fueled by bias.

When Lazarus came out of the Tomb, Yeshua said to lyō him from the grave clothes

YESHUA Loosened all the man-made restrictions of the religious rulers, how many steps on the Sabbath was allowed, can't carry your mat on the Sabbath, everything that went beyond what was written was loosed

and nothing else

Even the restrictions of today are loosed, like push an elevator button, turn on a light switch, flush the toilet.

It is permissible even among the orthodox Jews to work on the Sabbath in hospitals, emergency rooms, to save life... This exception they have just To cover their own behinds in case they have need of these services....ox in ditch and circumcision examples YESHUA gave.

This also means the power grid that supplies the energy can't be turned off either for the Greater Good..... But don't count on it always being up, carrington event, Emp etc.

You have to have Balance, provided by the scriptures

But unless it is an emergency, best not to spend money, handle money, buy or sell on the Sabbath

Only one time was there a command to not go from your dwelling place on the Sabbath, and it was for that One time...

YESHUA taught in the synagogues on the Sabbath

So instead of doing what you usually do for six days just to survive

Do this, and see what happens Isaiah 56:2-5 Isaiah 58:13-14

Mark 2:27

And it is He that changeth times and seasons; He deposeth kings, and setteth up kings; He giveth wisdom to the wise, And knowledge to them that know understanding.
I am pretty sure this means He changes the seasons, like summer into fall, fall into winter and winter into spring. Not changes His Holy convocations. Nebuchadnezzar was a pagan and so Daniel is introducing the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in this passage right before he interprets the dream.

Daniel answered and said:

“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
For wisdom and might are His.
21 And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to those who have understanding.
22 He reveals deep and secret things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him.

23 “I thank You and praise You,
O God of my fathers;
You have given me wisdom and might,
And have now made known to me what we asked of You,
For You have made known to us the king’s demand.”
