God has done much in the past four weeks.
To summarize my recent experiences, I went to Chicago from June 16-23 with some people from my church. In anticipation of that event, God delivered me from the fear that constantly crippled my life. In Chicago, God significantly changed me and I actually felt the Holy Spirit for the first time in my life! Those two weeks were quite life-changing beyond what I expected!
However, the week after Chicago, things seemed to fall apart. I was seriously hopeless for the past few days. However, now that I have both hindsight and relief, I do see why things happened the way they did. Indeed, even though God did seem to say no to my prayer, He clearly showed me why things could not be as I wanted them to be yet. There are issues and demons I must deal with (which would easily destroy anything He gave me now), and after I deal with those, I do believe God will either provide me with what I asked, or He will provide me with an alternative more suitable for me. Either way though, even as I struggled and lost control of my emotions, God did answer my pleads and provide me with the relief I needed as well as the foundation to crush the devil's hold on me.
Whatever happens, I know that God is listening and that what He does is for the best.
