WatW; how are you?
I want to thank you for ministering to me when I first came to CF; on the Survivors of Abuse threads, I believe.
Bless you~~

Trust me CoolMom4 . . . it was my pleasure chatting with you. And you ministered to me as well. It's never one way -- and always a blessing when I get to talk to someone I have things in common. I'm glad we got to know a bit about each other and hope to get to know you more! Bless you sister!

Who besides Jesus Christ has been a major influence on your life?

that actually is a rather lengthy list but i will summarize it for time reasons (i know you don't want to sit here all day reading names ;0):

all the writers of the bible
my parent's
my siblings
romantic relationships - from the past
friends
people i have worked with have even helped form who i am now.
and believe it or not - my dogs. they've taught me alot about unconditional love and are STILL trying to "influence" me on that one!!!

Where do you get your news? (newspaper, tv, radio, online?)

What is one of your favorite "spare time" activities (i.e. reading, gardening, watching tv)?

If you're a tv watcher, which do you prefer - reality tv (Survivor, American Idol), sitcoms (no examples - don't watch them), dramas (L&O, CSI) or how to (i.e. HGTV, Food Network)? Or do you watch the older shows (Cosby, MASH, Bonanza) on Nick at Nite and/or TV Land?

I get most of my news information online, and from the tv by watching all the different major news media channels as well as CBN in hopes to get a fair and balanced view point of the news - up to and including PBS (even though that is not a MAJOR source of news right now). I do not have satellite or cable so do not get a chance to see CNN, MSNBC - not that I really want to ;) .

Thanks to a friend of mine I am now not only into reading (probably wayyyyyy too much :D ) but now I am trying my hand at gardening and I am really enjoying that! I do like to watch the tellie too.

My favorite shows (Extreme Makeover - Home Edition, the CSI's, Cold Case, House and lots of stuff on Christian TV too - too many to mention). I am also catching myself getting into Idol and I love Dancing with the Stars; I do like sitcoms - King of Queens and My Wife and Kids.

When I do get to watch satellite or cable I love to watch:

animal planet (#1!!!)
the food network
history channel
discovery
lifetime

Is there anything that you collect?
Now or in the past, even childhood.

i have a very small tea cup collection. you used to be able to get them fairly cheap/reasonable then it seemed like all of a sudden everybody starting getting into them and the price sky rocketed so haven't added any in years. But i would like to eventually.

i also have a very small silver spoon collection from different cities i have been in.

What comment or conversation has had a great impact on you?

everytime i read a passage of Christ's words it never fails to impact me greatly.

after believing for years that i had strayed so far from Christ that there was no way He could ever still love me or want me back in His good graces - and hearing that was untrue - THAT had a great impact on me that changed my life.

"you must stand for something; or you will fall for anything" is a comment/saying i love.

and I love the Proverbs as well-here is a good one:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; wisdom and instruction fools despise.

What are your pet peeves?
Which one(s) are the worse?

LOL. Oh wow . . . not to sound negative but I do have some pet peeves as I guess we all do.

Probably my #1 worse pet peeve is people who interrupt you constantly when you are trying to talk. You know the kind I'm talking about . . . they talk incessantly and never take a break or give you room to interject in the conversation and when you finally DO get a chance to say something - you get like 3 words out and BAM!!! they interrupt you and cut you off!

I live in a town with snowbirds so you guessed it . . . I struggle with snowbirds. They drive around like they have all day (cuz they do) and seem to have a knack for getting in just ahead of you, long enough to slow you down and you can't get around them :help: . They also have a tendency to cause alot of traffic here, both on the roads and in the stores. I wish they would be more considerate and let us working class joe's get home or get our errands run without congesting everything up you try to do. Especially since they have all day to do whatever it is that they do :tutu: .

Micromanagers. Enuf said there.

Control freaks  :swoon: .

People who are rude to customer service people and take customer service too far.

That's about all I can think of for now. But it's enough LOL!

Do you garden? If so, what do you grow?

funny you should ask that question . . . i recently became interested in gardening. and so far i seem to be "growing" a black thumb; not anything green. although i'm told one must kill 1000 seeds/plants before you acquire a green thumb; at this point i have abou 971 to go ;)

i am working on it though. wish me luck! do you have any tips by the way?
