I'm slacking a bit - no questions from me for a couple of weeks. I've been trying to come up with a really good question that makes you think. Hopefully, this is it. . . .

Looking ahead - what's something new and different you'd like to accomplish in the next 5 years?

edie

a very thought provoking question and a good one too I might add!

As for what I'd like to do that is different over the next 5 years is going to create a list, hope that's ok:

1) go to Israel and Italy
2) start a fulltime ministry for the Lord
a) possibly a rance for kids who have learning disabilities and are pre-juvenile delinquents if not already IN the juvenile system
b) I would like to have a good size computer lab for them to work on (my specialty :0)
c) I would love to have animals on the ranch that the kids take care of and that would also serve as therapy for them
3) buy a home (I've never owned my own home  )
4) and maybe write a best selling book (self help type for young women)

how's that for starters?

What part of serving in the single women's ministry do you find fulfilling?

I am not serving in the single women's ministry any longer and it doesn't look like anything will be up and running in that regard anytime in the near future.

Our single women's ministry got off to a rocky start and never got up and running so I can't really answer this question honestly :0)

I, in the beginning, was really looking forward to having some strong Christian friendships take place within the group and some accountability partners but the group I had before didn't seem to be up for holding one another accountable. Which is probably why the group fizzled.

Good question!

Have you ever fallen asleep while praying, if so did you feel guilty?

What US city have you visited or lived in that left you with that “I need to shake the dust off my feet “feeling?

Do you think the apostle Paul was married?

Would you say your table manners are
Good, Ok, or Poor?

Have you ever over drafted your checking account?

I'm ba-a-ack! It's so hard to get around to all the forums that lately I've just been visiting a few and pretty much sticking to that. Thought I'd drop by and see how the fab40 crowd is doing and get my face the board thread up front again!

May the Lord bless you and keep you; make His face shine upon you; and may He give you peace this coming year!

I look forward to more questions!

May 19th Sony pictures will be releasing The DaVinci Code. Without question it has gotten a lot of advance attention. Will you make the trip to see it?

edie

no mam! and so as to be nice as to why i won't go see i will do like my mama told me when i was a kid, "if you can't say something nice, then don't say nothing at all," where that movie is concerned :0).

One last question (maybe) before I turn 50 in 10 days and have to leave the fab 40's.

What is your favorite "summer vacation" memory from when you were a child?

edie

I hope you are still swinging by anyway even though you are over the 40ish hump.

I'll answer your question just incase:

My favorite summer vacation from my childhood was when I used to go to upstate PA with my friends who had a trailer on some land right across from a farm. I have always loved farms and animals and the wilderness basically so that was the perfect place for me.

I remember running and jumping off this HUGE pile of hay that was the barn right onto another HUGE but shorter pile of hay. I felt free like a bird! And spending time with my friend and her family was really neat to.

Have you ever fallen asleep while praying, if so did you feel guilty?

YES I HAVE QUITE HONESTLY FELL ASLEEP WHILE PRAYING. YES! I DID FEEL GUILTY BUT THAT IS WHEN GOD SHOWED ME THAT IS PROBABLY NOT THE BEST TIME FOR ME TO PRAY. SO . . . NOW I PRAY IN THE MORNING DURING MY DEVOTIONAL TIME - IN MY JOURNAL. SO THE PRAYERS ARE WRITTEN DOWN AND I CAN CHECK ON THEM LATER IF I WANT TO.

What US city have you visited or lived in that left you with that “I need to shake the dust off my feet “feeling?

I CAN'T REALLY SAY ANY OF THE PLACES I LIVED MADE ME FEEL THAT WAY IN THE PAST. ALTHOUGH HERE LATELY I AM BEGINNING TO FEEL THAT WAY ABOUT WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE IT IS JUST BECOMING A LITTLE MINI SO. CA. AND I CAN'T SAY AS I AGREE WITH ALL THEIR IDEALS. NOT TO BE MEAN/JUDGEMENTAL. THEY JUST DON'T AGREE WITH MY IDEALS AND VALUES.

Do you think the apostle Paul was married?

ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURES, NO HE WASN'T.

Would you say your table manners are
Good, Ok, or Poor? THEY ARE GOOD, OR EVEN AT MY AGE (OF 46) MY MOTHER WOULD SLAP ME SILLY!

Have you ever over drafted your checking account? OF COURSE!

GOOD QUESTIONS!

Do you have a favorite movie that you will always watch, no matter how many times you've seen it? How about a book you've read over and over?

edie

I actually have TWO favorite movies that have books to go with them.

The first favorite movie is "Under The Tuscan Sun" which goes off of Frances Mayes book. It is a really neat book and although there are a couple words I would change in a few of the scenes and one scene I would clean up a bit, I love the movie! It is just a really neat romantic adventure that I wouldn't mind living out (IN Italy :0).

The other favorite movie that has a book to it is "I Am David." Although I haven't read the book I am supposed to get it for Christmas and look forward to reading it. I understand it is excellent!
