  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Go ahead. Ask. :)

Do you ski?
Occasionally. It's kind of nice when it's not too cold.
Can you drive?
I'm currently in driving school, and I've had most of my 30 compulsory driving lessons, so I know the basics. I wouldn't say I were a good driver yet though.
Do you have snow at the moment?
Yes, quite a lot actually. And there's more coming... o_O
Have you been north of the Arctic circle?
Once. I didn't like it, it was mid-Winter and the temperature was like -30 degrees Celsius... I was ten though and I had to attend a funeral there so it might have influenced my opinion on the place.
Have you been to England?
No, I'd love to visit though. I might take some time to see that huge cross country riding competition you have.. :)
What has God been doing in your life recently?
He's given me lots of great insights of biblical stuff. He's blessed me with deepened friendships with amazing people. He's done heaps of stuff a thread could not cover. :)
Have you scuba dived?
Not yet. We'll see if I will one day..
Are you at uni or have you entered into the wonderful world of work?
I'm currently about to finish high school; I'll apply for universities next Summer. I work part time as well though, in a grocery store...

What is it like learning to drive in Finland, is it true what they say on Top Gear, that they basically make you into rally drivers?
I had to laugh when I read this. I don't know anything about Top Gear, but they might indeed have a clue about our driving schools. We have to do a course (like a couple of hours or so) on a slippery track and you have to try every possible dangerous situation you might have on a regular frozen road as well. Otherwise the driving we need to do is quite civilized though.
What are you going to apply to do at uni?
My first choice is theology (evangelical-lutheran), but I'll apply to Nordic languages as well.
Have you travelled out of Finland?
Sure. I've been to Germany several times (I even lived there for a while), Estonia and India during the time of which I can remember anything. As a small kid I've been in Belgium, France and the Netherlands as well, but I can't recall anything from them.
Do you like the cold or do you prefer heat?
I like to sleep in cool rooms (around 17-19 degrees), but during the daytime I prefer the heat - everything under 15 degrees is already cold. :O

What do you want to do with theology, as in, what do you want to do for a career?
I'll be a pastor, and I'll probably just do something at a regular congregation at least in the beginning; I'm hoping to do missionary work at some point of my life as well though.
Where did you live in Germany, what took you there?
My family lived in Düsseldorf in the mid-90's because of my dad's job.
What took you to India?
I visited a half Indian friend of mine. :)

What part of India did you go to??
New Delhi. :)
Where would you like to do missionary work? Do you feel called overseas or to evangelise to people on your doorstep at home?
I think a combo of both would be great. I'm thinking of heading South at some point though.
What did you think of Düsseldorf? Where else have you been in Germany
Oh, I don't think I though so much... I was four when we moved there and came back when I was five. I've been pretty much all over the country though (not so much in the previous DDR), some highlights were Berlin and the Southern parts with the Alps and all.

Do you live alone?
No, for the time being I live with my parents. I plan to move out in the Fall though.
Favourite book??
This is a really tough one. I love many books... But if I had to choose just one I suppose it would be The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. :)
Fav food?
Again, you make hard questions; I love food as well.. :D OK, well, if I actually have to confess, then it would be this special kind of lamb; they only sell it in one restaurant in Lemi, and it's so delicious.. Too bad I'm a vegetarian.
