Reminds me a “the Daniel Fast”

In the Bible, the Jewish noble Daniel and his companions are captured by the Babylonians and inducted into the service of the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar. The Babylonians offer Daniel and his men rich food (“the King’s meat” and wine), but Daniel was wary of God’s prohibition of “unclean foods.”
Daniel 1:8 states: “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank...”
Daniel said he and his friends would eat a diet of only vegetables (“pulse”). After 10 days, they grew healthier and stronger than the Babylonians...
Perhaps it is why Hindu texts praise vegetarianism.

Hindus eating cows isn't going to solve hunger issues as cows don't grow off trees and require a financial investment.
The "academia" approach is the way to go.
Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you'll feed him for a lifetime.

Evangelize him ... feed him ... then teach him to feed himself.

Trying to teach a Hindu that won't eat an animal is like trying to teach an atheist to tithe.

You have to evangelize him first.

It's a matter of prioritizing.

More like because Gandhi taught them not to hurt a fly.

In addition, would YOU step on an ant, if you thought it would make you come back as a rock?

It is likely that average Hindus know as much about Christianity as you know about Hinduism but I bet they would have a better understanding of what Daniel 1:8 means than you do.

I'll bet they practice ahimsa as well.

I agree.

Look at India.

While "sacred cows" roam the streets in front of everyone, Hindus are starving to death.

Those five red heifers from Texas in Israel... aren't those "sacred cows"?

What a load of nonsense.
The facts show up your religious bigotry.
Malnourishment in India in children of different religions shows up an interesting fact.

If it's as simple as converting Hindus to Christians so they can eat beef, then why do the statistics show Muslim children who can eat beef are just as malnourished as their Hindu counterparts?
What makes your comments even more ridiculous are Christian children are not immune to malnutrition.

Ya ... "nonsense."

Mom has six children starving to death while cows walk around freely.

And you can't understand, because you're hooked on charts and graphs that chase rabbits.

The charts and graphs are based on the feedback of people including those who you claim are starving to death because they are Hindus.
The National Family Health Survey (NFHS) is a large-scale, multi-round survey conducted in a representative sample of households throughout India. Three rounds of the survey have been conducted since the first survey in 1992-93. The survey provides state and national information for India on fertility, infant and child mortality, the practice of family planning, maternal and child health, reproductive health, nutrition, anaemia, utilization and quality of health and family planning services. Each successive round of the NFHS has had two specific goals: a) to provide essential data on health and family welfare needed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and other agencies for policy and programme purposes, and b) to provide information on important emerging health and family welfare issues. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), Government of India, designated the International Institute for Population Sciences(IIPS) Mumbai, as the nodal agency, responsible for providing coordination and technical guidance for the survey. IIPS collaborated with a number of Field Organizations (FO) for survey implementation. Each FO was responsible for conducting survey activities in one or more states covered by the NFHS.

Technical assistance for the NFHS was provided mainly by ICF (USA) and other organizations on specific issues. The funding for different rounds of NFHS has been provided by USAID, DFID, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF, UNFPA, and MOHFW, GOI.
If you think converting Hindus to Christianity so they can eat cows is going to solve a socio-economic problem compounded by climate change and COVID-19 you are an extremely naïve individual but I suspect your bigotry to other religions is the main motivation.

^_^ ... Wow! Where did that come from!?

Let's take care of first things first, shall we?

Let's get them cooking their own steaks.

Then scientists can rush in and tell them to take their Ten Commandment displays down.

What are you babbling on about now?

My suggestion is to quit relying on charts and graphs and let Christian missionaries do their work first.

Who knows? they may not even need you guys after that.

Don’t let the facts get in the way in your make believe universe, but in the real universe Christian missionaries have been at it in the sub continent since the 15th century with the Portuguese and the activity accelerated with British rule from the mid 19th century.
Despite centuries of Christian mission activity in India, the Christian population is a paltry 2.3% of the total population.
Islam on the bother hand has been far more successful in making converts.

In the real universe the conversion of impoverished Hindus results in impoverished Christians period.

Let me get this straight:

1. Hindus are starving, while "sacred cows" roam the area.
2. Islams convert far more than 2.3% of them to Muslim.
3. Muslim Hindus are starving, while sacred cows roam the area.

Is that right?

You complain when people demean your religious beliefs yet you are leading the band in demeaning others' religious beliefs. It is not unusual that people willingly accept hardship and even death to protect their religious beliefs.

What do you want me to do? Respect Hinduism, while at the same time tell them it's a false religion?

It is your belief that Hinduism is a false religion. It is likely that that 1.2 Hindus believe that Christianity is a false religion. In the US we supposedly believe in freedom of religion but even in the US many people want to force their belief on their neighbors.

There is nothing wrong with to evangelize people who are open to be evangelized. It is behaviour of a barbarian to demean others' religious beliefs to do so.
