ya they really are - but in a scary way.

Why do I have this fear when God tells us not to fear?

(& it scares me that I fear about what's ahead) lol :p

But seriously, just this am. on Fox, I saw that the
British PM contacted Obama about a meeting on global
economy.

British PM hopes for economic pact in Obama talks

The Associated Press - ‎Feb 28, 2009‎
LONDON (AP) — British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said Saturday he will try to forge a global pact to buck the global economic downturn during talks with US ...

You have to find out exactly what you are fearing through this~while many talk about ideologies and such often it gets down to the nitty-gritty issue of security. Will I have a job, will I be able to provide for my children, where will I live, why can't things stay the way they are...and as Christians if we can't respond to these crises any different than our lost neighbors then we've not much of a faith ;). Fear and anxiety is from the Dark One, he loves this stuff.

About the Brits~Apple released new computers and at the mac forum I hang at they are all up in arms over the prices because of how much the Pound has fallen, some of the conversation there turned toward how bad things are there.

It is normal to fear Nadiine, but fear is not from God (apart from holy fear, but that's not what we're talkin bout here!). As christians we are still caught in this world - and our love of this world. I love a quote from spurgeon that "Sufferings wean us from our love of this world" and I think it's very true.

It's an anxiety because what we may have to go through is not going to be nice. But it's also about our focus. When we look at things around us it is scary, when we fix our eyes on Jesus we have peace. Remember Peter walked on water whist he was focussed on Jesus - when he became afraid of the winds he sank... (matthew 14)

easier said than done hey...

Hmmmm....not likely and more than a bit odd considering the UK's refusal to embrace the Euro. Grumpy Gordon is desperate, grasping as world leader allies for his own survival. Obama was at least right to ignore this request and downplay Brown's visit. He knows he's better off to embrace the last and next PM of GB.

I don't understand why it's normal to fear Nadiine. She's not that scary. :p

A panda walks into a café. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and proceeds to fire it at the other patrons.

'Why?' asks the confused, surviving waiter amidst the carnage, as the panda makes towards the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

'Well, I'm a panda', he says, at the door. 'Look it up.'

The waiter turns to the relevant entry in the manual and, sure enough, finds an explanation. 'Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves.'

That quote is so true. I've noticed when things are going great for
us (me/husband/family), I'm in no hurry for God to return....
when things hit the fan, I'm anxiously wondering why God is taking
so long to get back here.
LOL
How wierd. Maybe that's just me.

Maybe it is my focus being on this world - I do love this country
and what it WAS - not what it's turning into politically and morally.

Maybe this is for the best to get back to what's important and
focus correctly. Thanks for that input, it's helpful.

wow, I don't know anything of the political climate in the UK at
this point.
I always felt horrible for Blair - he was just hounded & heckled to death.

I'm glad he's not PM anymore so he can get a life back.
I think they're more brutal there than they are here (if that's even
possible).

What do they dislike about Gordon? I thought they got who they wanted

what do you guys think about GB's segment?

I don't think this short vid is exhaggeration or paranoia,

I think it's disturbing to say the least.

yep, thats why i think people are buying gold. coin silver is a better buy than gold. usa coin silver(old coin silver, with no colectible value) is 90% silver. canadian coin silver is probly a better buy, evan though its 80% silver.

i said i think glen beck has been given the same gift as the prophets earlier in this thread. Liars' Brains Wired Differently

what i meant is he tips the scales with mostly grey matter. these people are forced to work with the truth, since lying doesnt work well with them.

people who tip the scales with white matter tend more to lie. as the article says lying can make it hard to evan know what the truth is.

42Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. 43Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! 46Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? 47He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."

also how does that other scripture go? you cannot hear me because of the stumbling block of your own iniquity? (you cannot hear me because you cannot see past your own lie?)

47He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."

those who are equiped the hear the truth?
exactly.
And I always say that that's why there is such a mass polarization
in Christianity today.
Alot profess God, but deny much of His Word - then wonder why
we argue and divide.

As I listen to prophecy teachers, it looks like this needs to happen
Auntie.
We have to be a part of the one world system and if we're financially
thriving, I see no reason to feel we have a need to join up.
Then again, we do have a liberal Govt. maybe they'd join up for no reason.

One month in, and he's already preaching on raising taxes & is
overspending on NON STIMULUS ear marks.
Real shocking.

I truly wish my husband would keep the n ews turned off becuz
I'm tired of having to keep repenting as I hear Obama's latest:amen:
speech on tv.
that man is on every single day saying something. & the more he
says, the more the stock market plunges. (that should be a clue)

It's time for me to play ostrich becuz I get too angry seeing his liberal
spending & ideals that tear down what this country once was.

How would you like to live in Calif. where our taxes already about the
highest in the country (now going UP yet again) - PLUS have him
raise federal taxes!
I'd LOVE to know the percentage for Californians once the tax hikes
are all implimented.

We might need to move to Texas & get out of this state or something.
They say people are leaving in droves
The part I smilied with the Amen is my experience and sentiments exactly. Makes me nauseous. I am so sick of that guy running his yip. And he is not my Messiah either!!:doh:Help us God:groupray:

Brown and Blair are of the same liberal party, which, in the opinion of some, has allowed unwarranted immigration on claims of persecution to run amok, costing Brits jobs and increasing the number of non-citizens on public assistance. WE had to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that my husband could support ALL of us comfortably on his salary alone and that took almost two months. Keep in mind that I could well claim settlement using ancestry, too, but that was of little consequence.

Here is an example of why many are fed up with the Labour party and their brown nosing of American liberals (the italicized text is my hubby's opinion and being that all the men in his family served during war time and the IRA tried to blow him to bits, you can understand his hostility):

Gordon Brown nominated Ted Kennedy for honorary knighthood!!!!

Article:::Kennedy should NOT be honoured as Brown requests

I read that on MSN. I was a little stunned. His family have never had any love for the UK forces to be withdrawn and UN peacekeepers sent in instead. Even our much more socialist Labour government in the 1970s did not listen to him and of course Maggie T had no time for him at all. It seems to me that Labour under Brown is going to try and get more friendly with the Democrats than Blair ever got with Bush. – His father was quite happy to “write us off” as another potential Nazi conquest. As you say all through the 1970s and 80s Ted tried to meddle in the affairs of NI calling for the

Both views irritate me a great deal. I have no problems with America or Americans (otherwise I would not have married one) but this sick-o-fan-tick attitude that some of our politicians seem to have with some of yours makes me sick. Maggie T may have been friendly with Reagan and Bush 1 but she made it damn clear when she did not like something. It is well known that Ronnie got a real earful of wrath from Maggie when he sent US forces into Grenada (A Commonwealth nation of which the Queen is head of state) without advising the her of his intentions.

Tony Blair was liberal???
I thought becuz of his help w/ the Iraq war that he was not
liberal & that is why he ended up being disliked so much.

(I think I need to get out more) lol  :sorry: :o

hey thanks alot!!

It's nice to know we aren't alone in this stuff.
I'm hearing that even democrats are starting to take issue
w/ what he's doing.

Obama ran on a more moderate platform, but people are seeing
how far left liberal he actually is (which WE KNEW & warned about).

Does anyone thing our new Pres is actually Christian?

I doubt it myself, he has slipped too many times with the media, and then we have the church he attended for 13 some years. I don't judge anyones faith, but I see no evidence that he has faith in the Christian Triune God.

I'll just make the note that he's reopened channels for abortions
and is not against Partial birth abortions either.
