Almost 2 years ago, when I first registered at CF, I had brought up the subject of an illness I'd had for a long time. I became ill with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome around 1994. I'd asked a question then, in I believe the non-denomination forum, about healing. I became the subject of a rather heated debate. I hope the people who were were on that forum stop by this one!
Now those who don't know what Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is - the best way to describe it is feeling like you have the flue all the time!
If I dared to ride my bike for twenty minutes on a nice summer day - I'd be bed ridden for two days following, no exaggeration. If I'd walk a couple of blocks, Id' get weak and often sick for the rest of the day.
My mind would be so blurred (Brainfog) that I couldn't think clearly enough to sign a check.
Well, I get to testify that after having it for a whole decade now, I'm really starting to recover! A couple of years ago, I tried to help mow the lawn. I pushed the lawn more for about 10 minutes (if that long), then stopped not wanting to press my luck. I came inside and sat down on the sofa, feeling rather pleased that I'd been able to do that much, the suddenly I had a sever dizzy spell and became very sick to my stomach!! I only pushed the lawn more ten minutes on a level surface!!
Last year I managed to mow the front lawn a couple of times. The front lawn is rather small. I would mow half of it, stop, come back inside the house until I was rested, waiting to se if I would have an onslaught of my nausea and dizziness. I think I did once and somebody else had to finish the mowing.
THIS YEAR!! I've mowed the front and back several times using the push more - we have a riding more, but I refuse to use it!! I can get the lawn mowed come inside with no side effects...uhh, unless I'm dumb enough to do it on an empty stomach - then I get a little nauseas. But I could never have done that two years ago - or even one! I actually look forward to the grass growing!!
I know to that I use to have terrible and long times of brain-fog - even that's improved. I actually walked sever blocks to the post office one time - no negative results!
God has been healing me slowly, but he has been healing me.
I notice that I do better in the warm weather, I've been praying about moving West around Arizona. I know it's God healing me, but I know he has different ways of doing so. If he's using the warm dry weather, I'm not complaining. Oddly, from what I've heard from many CFS patients, they get worse in the warmer weather.
