I'm in no way taking a position of Old Earth v Young Earth. I believe what the Bible says about creation without adding anything. God created the Earth and universe in 6 days and rested on the 7th, ( but I seriously doubt God rested because he was tired, even though one could infer that he was. ) It is not important if the days were 24 hours or not.

There are two ways to read and understand the bible.
1. read what it says and see how the bible comments on the passage being read and to understand what it means by whether it is prose, poetry etc.
2. to bring an idea to the bible and to read that idea into the bible.

Decide how you are reading the bible and what ideas are influencing your reading.

God's creation continues today at Genesis 1:27 since God, the Trinity, is STILL creating mankind in His Image or Spiritually in Christ. Ask any Gospel preacher.

Prior to the flood all creatures where vegitarian. It was only in the radicly changed post flood world that God gave permission for meat to be eaten.

Dude, flipping Christian creationists don't agree uniformly on what the bible says about creation. Furthermore, my interpretation of the text could be practically the same to yours without us both coming to the conclusion that it is representative of reality simply due to different life experiences and having different pools of knowledge. For example, I read the bible the first time independently at the age of 13. I highly doubt your exposure to it has been the same. However, regardless of when and how we learned math, everyone on here would agree that 2+2=4.

How do we know that your Gospel (Greek-good news) is the right one and HOW do we get it's saving grace? There is but ONE Gospel of Jesus Christ and it's listed in l Cor 15. Preaching "another Gospel" is prohibited:

Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

False, since darkness/death was upon everything God created in Genesis 1:1. Anything made from the air dust and water is subject to death. Genesis 1:2 God's problem is that He can never build a perfect world from the elements contaminated with death. Anything apart from God is dead. 1Ti 6:16 Who only hath immortality, Amen?
