  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

General relativity (a theory of gravity).
No deity included.

Therefore ....

...Discuss.

I expect a lot of pigeons on this thread, but that's okay. Pigeons seem to be prevalent on this forum.
A diety doesn't need to be included in a theory to still be behind what the theory discusses.

If God is omniscient, He knows everything, even things that are relative. You know, because He knows EVERYTHING. Therefore, God is omnicient.

Woop.

Everything [in this universe] is relative.
Within and without: EVERYthing's relative.

I even capitalised it.

If God is omniscient, He knows everything, even things that are relative. You know, because He knows EVERYTHING. Therefore, God is omnicient.

Woop.
But he can't, so he doesn't. It's like saying he can make a burrito so hot even he couldn't eat it.

And I don't even know what a burrito is.

This is what Wikipedia showed me:

Therefore, my disproof of God's existence by way of General relativity is complete.

Yes, it does :). Otherwise, the theory is inaccurate (or incomplete), which means it's technically false, which means the deity wasn't behind it. A complete description of reality would necessarily include the deity who instigated it .

Even quantum mechanics has wave-vectors, and they don't even exist!

Yeah, I think I mispoke. You certainly could be right, and I think you are.

Therefore, my disproof of God's existence by way of General relativity is complete.

Slow down.

<staff edit>

Even I can know how fast something is going relative to something else, so what is this supposed to mean?

Being on things that make you go faster is so much fun.

No, it's terrifying and makes you feel sick  Unless of course, relatively speaking, it doesn't appear that youre going very fast, like on a large plane.

If I were in a car going at the speed of a plane I would be scared stiff

Assuming an object is not moving, and gravity isn't a force, what makes it fall?

According to the Big Bang theory, the space containing the universe expanded into an empty space which was already there, I'm assuming. But I'm thinking matter probably expanded into the fourth dimension - time - creating space-time. Anyways, the equations which describe gravity must have existed before the Big Bang. A Bang wouldn't create an equation. Equations are not material things. They belong to the mind. Perhaps this proves the mind of God existed before gravity.
