  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello all! I'm very new to Christianity in general. I'm attending my first church service next sunday and I've been reading verses and listening to sermons and such today. I've struggled a lot with lesbianism and my plan right now is to be celibate and get rid of all of my literature and eventually my lesbian blog on social media. Most of the video games that I play do not involve homosexuality except for Dragon Age and Skyrim which I can avoid mostly by skipping the romances but the Sims also has the potential for that. I have a bunch of lesbian couples that I've made and they're so pretty and I put so much work into playing with them and I would feel really sad having to delete all of them or turn some of them into men so really I'm just wondering if it would be sinful for me to play with lesbian sims if I'm celibate and avoiding that kind of thing in real life. I'm not an expert and the people that I know so far at my local church don't understand video games enough to answer this question fully so I would love to hear anyone else's opinion.
