It illustrates the sheer awfulness of the daily UnPresidential Tweetings of the current "President."
It turns his awful social media attack strategy back on him.
MAGA are stuck. Fox are stuck. Every attack they try to make backfires spectacularly.
EG: In the piece above, one Fox propaganda agent actually said: "I don't know what he's trying to do but - it's childish!"
I think he's got it!
That's the point! The difference? Trump does this for real - and can sound like a 5th grader when he does.
If Trump leaves office, Gavin can turn this off in a heartbeat. But we all know Trump. This IS him - and Fox and MAGA can't criticise Gavin without the same mud flinging back in their faces tenfold by the sheer ridiculous behaviour of the Orange man they support.
As funny as I personally find it from my POV - this thread is not about posting cheap satire.
It's a conversation about that satire, the causes of it.
I'm actually surprised it took this long for a governor like Gavin Newsom to click to this trick.
EG: This is how the President replied to Gavin.
Wow - "Newscum" - you came up with that on your own Mr President?

I imagine there's a lot more material to cover. For instance, there's the history of changing technological trends in how we receive our information - from how we all used to read far more (myself included) through to how superficial and glib we can be in our reading habits today.
Why read a whole book when there's a cheap meme we can swallow (hook line and sinker?)
Why read a whole book when I can ask for a 100 word summary on Chat GPT? Or watch a 10 minute YouTube which might be by an authorised expert - or might not be. Then I can go around and parrot 10 minutes! I mean - I devoted
10 minutes to that subject!
That's a LOT of attention in today's attention economy!
Why value expertise when my opinion - shouted loudly enough into the most concordant echo-chamber I can find - earns me LIKES?
Even more sinister - how can the poorer members of society have
any time for being informed about all this when they have to work 2 jobs, never see their family or kids, and then get the Big Beautiful Bill taking away their healthcare? Then a man comes along that looks like a wrecking ball for the institutions that have made this working family so poor. He promised to 'drain the swamp'. He promised to do something with tariffs that might (in reality might not!) bring back jobs to working class Americans. So of course many in the rust belt voted for him. But did they actually have a
clue what they were really voting for!?
But the main point? As the kids in the schoolyard say:- "He started it!"
Gavin is just replying in kind - and the moment the current administration moves on (assuming American democracy survives the current administration that is!) - Gavin can drop it. But the current President cannot - it's his entitled
NPD.
