Magic the Gathering

I like MTG but it seems pretty expensive to keep up with new sets.

I mean...I don't mean to be disrespectful here but this is a recent realization of mine...but aren't games a waste of time?

I don't consider things that you enjoy or bring happiness to a person as a waste of time.

Currently, I play a couple games on Steam. I just downloaded a set of JRPGs for $.50 lol. I've started playing one of them so far and it's entertaining.

I have mainly been playing Overwatch and Skyrim on my PS4. I have a group that I play Overwatch with and we have a good time. Even though I'm probably the weakest player of the bunch, they don't get frustrated with me, which is nice.

It is...which is why I don't buy a lot of cards (I work with what I've got), but I usually don't keep up with the newest stuff anyways.

Some folks I know don't play but collect each set as it comes out. I guess they enjoy the collecting aspect more than anything, which I can understand

I'd like to get back in to model-making and painting. I used to love doing that.

When I look back at the things I've done since becoming a follower of Christ, it makes me wonder when the return is coming. I know staying in that line of thinking is wrong, but there was a time in my life when I threw away what would today probably be over a thousand dollars worth of MTG cards for the sake of Christ and obeying His prompting. I'm not boasting. If anything it's just a somber reminder of what Jesus said about how we are commanded to be ready to lose everything if called to do it.
I'm not saying MTG cards are evil and Christians shouldn't play it. I just wonder why...Nevermind

I also like games where everyone has an equal chance of winning. I actually prefer games where it is not important to win but to bond and have fun. I'm not really into competition. (which really makes me wonder when people think I'm out to win some debate or contest)
