• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Future Plans

Single people - do you think you'll get married one day or not?

  • I'm pretty sure that I'll get married someday.

  • I'm pretty sure that I'm going to stay single my whole life.

  • I have no idea, it could go either way, I haven't decided yet, other maybe type answers...

  • I'm currently married but I feel the need to vote in this poll anyway.

I definitely have the desire to get married. I desire to love a Godly wife, to cherish her and give myself to her whole heartedly. I desire to have children to bring up in Christ, to protect and love. However, my desire for God is greater than others, which in turn gives me an eternal perspective.

Eternally, marriage does not exist (there is no marriage in heaven). So my first priority is to seek God and His will in my life (actually to know God deeply so that I do not insult Him by asking what His will in my life is). By God's grace marriage is in my future. If it is not, I know that something even greater is. :amen:

First to keep God in my life first and foremost. Not be burdened by financial and money issues. To also spend more time with my family. Not really worrying about getting married and having a family. Whatever happens happens for a reason.

i voted C also, i truely have no idea, I can see the joys in marriage and how it could also hold me back a little bit.

this semister at school i am dedicating it to God and staying single and not trying to find any sort of love intrest other than Him.

with that sad, how can marriage hold me back? well i want to be a senior pastor and preacher. not just any pastor, a great one. i am either going to be the best or the worst there is no middle ground for me. i do not accept medicority (except in spelling :p ). If i am married i have to make sure i give my wife ample amount of time instead of focusing on my ministry. to sum it up i dont know, God knows and His will is perfect and i am just here for the suprises He has to offer

F: Don't know but don't see many go by
G: See many pretty faces but few kindred souls
H: In kindergarten wasn't impressed - still waiting for them to grow up
I: See many 'want to get married's but few 'get down to business's
J: Just living life day to day!

All bundled up into C: other maybe type answers :) As far as this poll goes - when in doubt, pick C. :D

(smile) But I .have. decided. I decided long ago that I did want to be married. So C doesn't fit me. It's not the decision that's wanting, it's the providence that hasn't come. God is true in all things, it may simply be that my hope is not what He would have. It is a good and proper hope, though.

I will get married eventually.

Last night, during speedball practice, I got shot square right in the nuts from 15 yards. So children might be out of the question, hah, perhaps thats a good thing. But no! I will clone! :crosself:
