  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Future Plans

Single people - do you think you'll get married one day or not?

  • I'm pretty sure that I'll get married someday.

  • I'm pretty sure that I'm going to stay single my whole life.

  • I have no idea, it could go either way, I haven't decided yet, other maybe type answers...

  • I'm currently married but I feel the need to vote in this poll anyway.

Results are only viewable after voting.

I want to get married, but the way things are going, it looks like I'm going to be single. :sigh: I still need to work on accepting that possibility.
One of the hardest things in life is to accept both sides of hopes and then truly leave it in God's hands and keep pursuing the dream in contentment. Letting it go and still leaving it open for God to bless you? It takes a world of trust. I know that well, but it's the right way. Don't give up after you give it to God. Live today and leave hopes open for tomorrow while letting God rule. :^)

I understand from personal experience. That's where the entire heart of the Christian faith is, though, and for that matter having deep relationships. With God you have to give up absolutely everything and be willing to stand with absolutely nothing, with .no. guarantees - except that He loves you and that He .truly. makes .all. things to work for the good of those who love Him even when we don't understand how. But that's where He calls us to stand. If we refuse to even try, then we make Him a liar and make our faith a lie. It was a hard pill for me to swallow - and the most freeing thing in my entire life.

ps - being wise and yet taking wise risks to trust - Balance is a great challenge.

Especially when it goes agains the grain of everything you've ever 'learned' in life. Balance is the ultimate challenge, you are right... but then that too takes God!

That's it, Cindy. Part of my morning devotions was in Psalm 50. In verses 16-20, God addresses the wicked and talks about their casting His words behind them, even those who are His people outwardly - they take His covenant in their mouths and yet they act that way... and we wonder today? We wonder about the grain of the things we've learned about people in general as we lived? Sadly, we at times see these things even in the church. Often we forget that although we are called to be together with God's people, the church is often the trauma ward of the Great Physician.

And then in verses 21-23, God says.... "You thought I was altogether like you; But I will rebuke you, and set them in order before your eyes...."
God is not like the wicked, and His people are called to be like Him rather than like them. And our hope? "...Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God."

That's the encouragement, and that's what gives us the strength to strive for that godly balance in ourselves and with others of His people.

First it is up to God to let him decide if you want a mate or a spouse. Second if he wants you to have the mate or spouse, then he will make that decision for you because God never, ever makes mistakes. And wants to prevent you all from making that mistake.
