• The Sun is our yellow dwarf star, contained within our solar system, on one of the spiral arms within our Milky Way Galaxy, is about 5 billion years away from depleting all of it's Hydrogen supply, becoming red, expanding & consuming many planets including Earth.

• ELE (extinction-level event) Asteroid(s), Meteor(s), Comet(s) impact(s), etc.

• The Canis Major dwarf Galaxy is 25,000 (light) years away from colliding with our Milky Way Galaxy.

• The Andromeda Galaxy is about 3 billion (light) years away from colliding with our Milky Way Galaxy.

Hallelujah, praise, honor & glory to our God (i.e., את השילוש הקדוש) wherefore our Father poured out Elohim via The Holy Spirit & therefore courtesy of His love mankind can now expect to see, experience only "one" of the inevitability's above.​

Perhaps if we actually had enough time left upon this planet as a species, but logically & analytically we're not even going to get that space / time period, wherefore according to Bible, etc Earth is scheduled for Asteroid(s), Meteor(s), or Comet(s) impact(s), etc.

Unless this is Wormwood prophesied in Revelation, Apophis can take a hike; and if it is Wormwood, then it's going to hit the ocean and detriment some life --- but not the earth itself.

As we have nearly a million times the amount of time that civilization has currently lasted, I think we have some time to figure something out. Other needs are far, far more pressing.

ELE (extinction-level event) Asteroid(s), Meteor(s), Comet(s) impact(s), etc.

This is a much more significant worry, and it's why we have a number of Near Earth Object searches going on right now. If one of these is detected early enough (say, around 2-3 years or more before it impacts), then there's a distinct possibility that we can redirect it. The difficulty is that right now, we just don't have enough eyes in the sky to have a hope of detecting such an object that soon, so we really need to put more money into this. We can, of course, be somewhat relaxed because this sort of event only happens about once every 100 million years, but since we're talking about the end of human civilization, it makes sense to spend some money on it (especially given the low cost).

The Canis Major dwarf Galaxy is 25,000 (light) years away from colliding with our Milky Way Galaxy.

The Andromeda Galaxy is about 3 billion (light) years away from colliding with our Milky Way Galaxy.

This may be more significant, as it's predicted to cause our galaxy to become an elliptical galaxy. This means that our star will likely take on a very different orbit around the galactic center, which may bring it close to the galactic center (which could be quite deadly) in a few billion years. It's not too much to worry about given the fact that our star will probably go red giant before then, however.

Of all of these, much more pressing are the changes that we ourselves are imposing on our planet. We need to develop a sustainable society, else it will just collapse around our ears.

Indeed. Peak oil's a doozy. But then, we have basically the same problem with nearly all of the energy sources we use today. If we fail to move to alternatives in time, we're talking no less than the complete collapse of modern civilization, complete with billions dead, perhaps with another few centuries worth of dark ages.

But according to some (~Ahem~) who read their own interpretations INTO the bible (~Ahem....~Ahem~) Wormwood directly ties into Chernobyl, indeed the two are the same.

I'd rather ask many atheists and scientists --- their answers are much more comical.

Especially when it comes to the matter of the Flood. I always love it when a scientist posts two screensful of charts, graphs, pictures, etc. "proving" how it would have been impossible for the Flood to have occured. That's a magnet for people like me to show up and simply reply: GOD DID IT.

Or when a scientist says, "This couldn't have happened because..."

Lenin Nuclear Power Station, but Chernobyl stuck because of its meaning. This also popularized the Chern-er, Prypiat accident as a precursor to Armageddon. Of course, the incident was relatively mild to the China Syndrome devastation that could have occurred.

Whenever something happens in the news that has a link to the Scriptures, whether real or imagined, it becomes a big-ticket item. If people can somehow link Chernobyl to Wormwood, they'll do it, just for the sensationalism it would engender.
