Ran into some internet flotsam making fun of oddball science book diagrams. Some are clearly intentionally intended to be whimsical/funny. Others are unintentionally so. And one is just the Schrödinger's Cat -- what's the big deal? Anyway, I particularly love this one:

It's both absurd, but also interesting in showing that distantly related creatures still have some organizational similarities under the skin (or feathers).
