CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i have a cat named Mr. Tux, cuz he look slike he's wearing a tuxedo. my brother asked me not to name him that though, he was living in boston at the time, and they have tuxedo stores out there named mr. tux

My husband and I said that our next dog would be a male and we'd call him Thurstan Howl the Third. And maybe we'd get a female too and name her Lovey Howl.

I had 2 birds when I was younger... one was named Doctor Feathers.... I'd ask him "what's up doc"... he's reply "gimmy a cracker"
I also had a green parrot... don't know or remember what kind he was, but he was smuggled in from Tijuana, Mexico and then given to my dad when the people couldn't take care of him... I named him "TJ Gucamole" TJ for short. (Gucamole for .. well you know.)
I also had a colt named "Fuller"... not a good vibe to put out into the universe, but he got the name cause when he was younger he was "fuller than ----"

God heals and restores!
When I was growing up my mother loved to name any dog we had a German name. She once named a terrier mix Nichs Nuchs (I called him Nicks Nuts). It meant troublemaker or nuisance and he did live up to his name.
I have four cats and one is named Gusty because she moves as quickly as a gust of wind.

My vet said the funniest he heard was
A dog was out in the waiting room just barking and growling like a buzzy annoying appliance. And when the vet reached for him the dog growled and went after him with a grrr -grrr -grrr-grrr-uff. Grrr- grrr-grr-grr - uff.
