  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Fun weekend! Look and see. :)

OK, here are a couple pics I posted in the gallery section (under misc.)

Two C-17 Globmasters at McChord AFB, Washington State. One is just touching down, as you can see another in the foreground that just backed up to get out of the way of the landing aircraft. (Yes, C-17's have back up)

And just FYI, those things sticking up from the wingtips (they're called winglets) are 9 feet tall!

The F-15 Eagle also put on a great demonstration. Here it is accelerating down the runway at full afterburner (beautiful flame behind it) just prior to liftoff.

Here is my favorite airplane, the F/A-18C Hornet! This was the BEAUTIFUL backdrop for the airshow saturday and sunday! Mt. Rainier in the background as the pilot banks the aircraft for the 8.5 G minimum radious turn.

The show also featured an act with a MiG-15! It is sponsored by Red Bull (Evidently it does give you wings). It also drag raced a JET CAR, as in this pic taken by my sister! Just as the car overtakes the jet.

Last but not least, the THUNDERBIRDS! Here they are taking to the skies over wonderful Western Washington!

Enjoy and God bless! More pics to come, these are only ones my sister and dad took... I have over 200 yet to be developed! lol

That's cool you're an airshow fan! :) Dispite the 110 degrees both days, I still get goosebumps over my entire body when these jets fly! Oh, I hate it when that happens. Last year McChord was supposed to have an airshow in September... but canceled it in August... talk about getting your hopes up! lol

Whiteman I bet is a sweet show, isn't that where they keep B-1's? Those planes are not only stealthy to radar, but photo's too! I've seen them 4 times at airshows and have YET to get a single picture of one in focus!! haha

And I got all but one roll (wherever it may be) developed and am quite pleased with the results. I got a great one of the F-15 taking off... as it rotates on the mains you can see flames coming off the RUNWAY surface from the engines!

It is real disappointing that they're not having one this year. They keep the B-2 stealth bombers and A-10's there so I see them quite often when they're doing maneuvers. I still stop and watch when they go over though. We also see other jets fly over but I'm not real sure what they are. My boys have taken photography in 4H and have tried to get some good pictures to enter. The sunny day ones have come out but last year had a lot of overcast skies so they didn't come out so well.

Oh yeah, that's right, the B-2 is based there. AWESOME! Oh, what I would give to see one of those beauties! They have yet to make an apperance in the northwest! A-10's are pretty sweet too. I'll be seeing the 'Hog West team this September at Hillsboro.

Yeah, it's real tricky getting good pics when there isn't a lot of light. Unfortunately I know nothing about photography... I just point and shoot. lol

This week will be fun though, as the Blue Angels arrived in Seattle today! Yippee!

I've never gotten to see the Blue Angels, only the Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds are always awesome. I've seen them more than once. Hopefully I'll see the Blue Angels one of these days. They've been here, just not when I was able to go. Maybe you'll get some good pictures I can see! ;)

Well, the Blues are flying twice tomorrow, so I'll be sure to post at least a couple. I'll be going to see them every day for every practice. I've been doing this for 6 years now, and it never gets old. :D

Thanks PureGrace. :)
