Oh-please just stop. Eph. 2-6 "and raised us up with HIM, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus". Brother I'm looking down. I do not have to get anywhere that Christ as already taken me. I think the whole chap. in Eph. (2) express that very point.

and we as christian have that choice to take the high road at colossian 3:1-3 point out but as 1 john 1:8-10 we chose to take the low road at times

I have been translated, not will be, not in the sweet bye and bye, or at some point along my road, or when I draw my last breath. I'm a walking dead women. We have been made the rightousness of God through faith in His Son. I have been translated into the Kingdom of His dear Son.. These highlighted words are past tense. It's a done deal. I died already. My conversation is now in Heaven. We have already been apprehended. We walk in newness of life. My old life is dead.

BretherninChrist, Trish1947 Amen. God is dealing with me on this thing of free will. Today He ask me if I wanted to kill a tree do I cut it done or kill the root? I said kill the root! He said the root of Adam sin was his WILL! Adam willfully ate, that act was the root of all sin. Jesus willfully gave up His will, "not mine but your be done". Adam had the choice and pick wrong. Therefore before the foundation of the world Jesus took our will into His being as sin. So that I could be set free to move in the WILL OF THE FATHER AT ALL TIMES. This is a overpowing statement. If true the war is over!

I knew by the Holy Spirit when I wrote that, that I needed to say. By the GRACE of God I have been Giving A SWORD and If my Master calls upon me and blesses me to a reward, by His grace, I will kill the enemy brought before me by His will for the glory of His son. Thus with this mind set fulfilling Eph. 4-6 "one God and Father of all who is over all and through all in all."

So his grace cause you to swing the sword?? You have no control over yourself at all???

Regarding your oft-quoted Eph 4:6, can we look at the entire concept?

Verse 1, Paul urges "you to walk in a manner worth of the calling." Why the urging if there is no other choice? It must be that we CAN chose to NOT walk that way. This is Logic 101.

Verse 17 "you must no longer walk as the Gentile do". Again, why the admonishment unless there is the possiblity to do otherwise? If all is out of our hands, why even have the NT at all? Won't God just take control of us and lead us?

Please, enoch son, try to use the reasoning God has given you. There is no argument that God is sovereign over all, and in all. And in His sovereignty, He has chosen to give us the opportunity to voluntarily follow Him or not. This is pure love. Even you mentioned Jesus in the garden. He voluntarily, of His choice, gave up His will to the Father, which is, indeed our model. We should, too, give up our will to His, but it is our free-will choice to do so!

Great verse just had to add some depth that I have learned recently which really has help me defend my self so I do not feel so frustrated with the three headed attack

One of the greatest devices of the devil is for you to get pre occupied what your mind tells you about yourself. He does not want you to realize who you already are in Christ, what you have already received, what Jesus has already done, It's a done deal on His part. There is no more salvation coming. If you ever get it down and settled in your heart who you are to Him. What He has made of you, who you are to Him. This battle will go on continuously. But when you do get it settled in your Heart, look out, he has a handful to deal with, by bothering you. Always look at yourself how God says he sees you. You cannot look at yourself as you see you. That dont work. It throws you into condemnation. Yes we're to check our flesh and find where we are standing. But never do that to yourself spiritually. We have been given weapons to use. Now you have the free will to let him beat you up, or you can believe God. And by all means dont get in any hurry to be perfected. Sometimes we get it wrong on where you think the Lord should be working on you, and come to find out, it was in a totally different area of your life he was interested in. But let Him do the work.

As for the Armour it was put on at salvation by grace. I never been told to take it off. As for the fruits thy come from the tree of life that Adam did not eat from, agian by grace. How does something that got it's head crush have so much power?
One must look to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And what is this free will, you all hold on to, is it not the choice between good and evil? The thing that made Adam DIE! I do not see a mindless ADAM before he ate do you? Your stand is of a lower state, a falling state of man. What you can not give up is holding you back. I surrender all to God. He is my KING! I'm a servant and slave and gladly. For by given up all, He as given me even more.

Correction brother! it was adams making the wrong choice, not the fact that he had a choice to make.

Paul who wrote almost half the books of the nt and recieved the gospel by revelation wrote in phillipians 3:13-14 that he did not think he had "arrived" but one thing he did was use his free will to press toward the mark.. Study the word press it defenitely involves an act of the will.. Amazing we have somehow surpassed even the writers of the bible...

trish yes all we ever recieve of salvation was done on the cross when he said it was finished..salvation-deliverance is not only present but most certainly futuristic.. One day the trump shall sound and the fullness of our deliverance will be revealed.

As paul said he counted himself not to have apprehended of that which was already accomplished at calvary...
