Out of all the websites out there that allow you to create websites for free, which one do you think is the best one? I use Angelfire but now I'm beginning to get tired of it. Any suggestions to anything else besides Angelfire and Geocities?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I like Hypermart, but I registered way befoer they started requiring a credit card.
Search on google for "free web host list" or something like that and you should get a few websites that have databases of free web hosts...

I started out with Angelfire but decided that since I could by my own domain name and website for less than $100.00 a year and didnt have to put up with all the restrictions that places like Angelfire have (limited bandwidth, ads and stuff like that) I would rather pay for it! But if you cant afford it and you know how to code then Brinkster is the way to go.

Like tripod, because they support FrontPage extensions and I like useing frontpage for building sites.
If you use FrontPage and web hosting that supports FrontPage extensions its very easy to upload your site.

I'm working on building my Tripod site -- a sister-site to Angelfire for free homepages, which includes the pop-up ads. Never heard of Brinkster.
