I was wondering if anybody has heard of the books by Frank Peretti called

This Present Darkness
and
Piercing the Darkness

are they any good?? just wanted to know a few opinions on them

Actually, I just got done reading This Present Darkness. I thought it was very good. It was a little bit dramatic at times, but I may have thought that just because it was one of the first chirstian fiction books I read. It Really does have a good message though. I recomend it.

Ive read the books several times...he's an awesome writer...you should also read some of his other books...the oath, the prophet...

I LOVE these books! Haven`t been too keen on any of his other stuff, but loved This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness. In fact, it`s probably about time I re-read them...... :idea:

i really enjoyed his books Nightmare Accademy and Hangmans Curse. they were really well written. i cant wait till the next one comes out. does anyone know when that will be??

I looked at his books at a Christian book store near where I live, and i found some of the other ones like the oath, the prophet and a few other ones that I can't remember off hand... I might end up buying one or two

but that can wait for now

"Hangman's Curse" was a pretty awesome movie... never read the books though.

The only book of his I would not recomend is Prophet. I thought it was a poor story and not written well.

His other books I would recommend, especially the Oath, and This Present Darkness

apparently my dad randomly owns half of these books ( I had no clue he did ) and He hated the prophet as well... he didn't like how the demons were described in such detail in one of the books, most likely the prophet or something...

I would recommend just about anything by Frank Peretti. I've read all of his books, and they are awesome!

I love to read Frank's Peretti's books. They are rare diamonds in the rough of the book world. I highly, highly, highly, recommend any of his books.

YEAH!! They are both awesome books!! i highly recomend them for....people over 13 i would have to say........and have you ever heard of THE OATH....its kinda a thriller.....but good too, very scary tho, not for the light of heart!

The Hangman's Curse and Nightmare Accademy were sooo good!!! I am goind 2 start reading This Present Darkness, but I heard that it was really really freaky. Am I rite? I also want 2 c The Hangman's Curse movie. It looks soo good and if it is just like the book, well.

Really? My faves among Perretti are the Darkness books (This Present and Piercing), The Oath, Prophet, and Tilly. (Tilly was a real tear-jerker.)

By the way, over 10 years ago I recall Peritti did an interview with a Christian Magazine called "Citizen". The Present Darkness was to have been made into a movie. Haven't heard anything of it since. Anyone have any info?

I just saw the Hangman's Curse movie and it is sooooooooo FREAKY!!!!!!!! It is just like the book and the book freaked me out. But I really enjoyed watching it.
