Really? My faves among Perretti are the Darkness books (This Present and Piercing), The Oath, Prophet, and Tilly. (Tilly was a real tear-jerker.)

By the way, over 10 years ago I recall Peritti did an interview with a Christian Magazine called "Citizen". The Present Darkness was to have been made into a movie. Haven't heard anything of it since. Anyone have any info?
My problem with Prophet was with the writing and story. I am pro-choice, but that was not the reason I disliked that book. I knew what the politics would be going into it. Tilly on the other hand was a tear jerker, and I thought that it was, infact, very well written. later

The Hangman's Curse and Nightmare Accademy were sooo good!!! I am goind 2 start reading This Present Darkness, but I heard that it was really really freaky. Am I rite? I also want 2 c The Hangman's Curse movie. It looks soo good and if it is just like the book, well.

The Hangman's Curse and Nightmare Accademy sound alot more scary than This present darkness!! Its got the action/drama in it but its not what you would call reall really freaky....The Oath by Frank Perritti is very scary tho!

Here's what Tilly is about...

Tells a deeply moving story about a woman's straggle to reconcile herself with the memory of a child she aborted nine years previously. This powerful tale of forgiveness will shake the most stoic soul.

Monster isn't released until March or April

Nice summery. :)

The book was certainly a tear jerker, that's for sure. I read from a magazine waaaay back Peretti stating he conceived of writing a book after hearing accounts of women who suffered from P.A.S (Post Abortion Syndrome)...which can last decades after the abortion took place.

I love the ending too. Especially in knowing the fact Tilly wasn't forgotten by her family.

Thanks...:D

I haven't read that book in a while...but the last time I read it...I liked it...

So...is anybody going to get Monster when it's released?

Certainly looks interesting. Here's the summery posted from Amazon.com:

Miles away from the hectic city, Reed and Rebecca hike into the beautiful Northwestern woods. They're surrounded by gorgeous mountains, waterfalls, and hundreds of acres of unspoiled wilderness.

But something—or someone—begins closing in on them. Something no human has ever seen. And it's killing everyone in its path without remorse.

I'm hoping it's cast more along the lines of The Oath rather than The Visitation (which I didn't care for too much).

I usually don't get books as soon as their release, seeing as how they can be bought in near new condition at lower prices at places which sell used books online.

I know Focus on the Family played a dramatized version a way back, although I only realized after it had been aired.
