I've read The Visitation. It is freaky, but it is also a really good book. They're making a movie out of The Visitation, that's supposed to come out in Fall 2005...

I've also read all of Peretti's books, all of the children's and teen's series and all of the adult books also.

What about The Visitation? Has anyone read that particular book? After reading the book, I was so freaked out that I had to sleep with my lights on for a couple of nights!

I've read "The Visitation" I thought it was neat... FP's books are just amazing! He's quite a writer and ya have to admire him...
Anyone read "The Prophet"?

I've read almost all of his books. I liked the Oath and the Visitation the most.....Frank Peretti is such a good writer!

He is certainly a much better writer than most Christian writers. It is a shame that there is not much more talent in the Christian writing business. I enjoy the literature.

really! he has a different, somewhat freaky way of looking at the world... Ever read ted dekker's work? i found "when heaven weeps" once, real cheap and wound up reading it... his style is comparable to fp's - minus the demons.
i definitely like frank peretti better... there are some good christian fiction writers out there who have got something to say - but you may not want to read 'em if you're too prone to get nightmares!

I was wondering if anybody has heard of the books by Frank Peretti called

This Present Darkness
and
Piercing the Darkness

are they any good?? just wanted to know a few opinions on them :)

The two most awesome christian (fiction) books i have ever read.
Tho darkness is fiction, it seriously educated me on spiritual warfare and what goes on around us that we do not see.

I loved The Oath and the visitor by him as well.

they were awesome too.

My youth leader let me borrow one of her books. I don't remember if it was "Piercing the Darkness" or "This Present Darkness". I didn't read it all though. It was a good book, but I started having anxiety attacks and my parents wouldn't let me read the rest of it. "Hangman's Curse" is a good movie. I've heard that the book and the movie are quite different though.

 Hi, Friends!

I believe it was This Present Darkness that so touched me. The book literally changed the way I praise and pray and view world events. My prayers used to "stick in my head," as my youngest son once put it, & it seemed my mind fluttered about and then I'd fall asleep. Now I talk to God out loud, frequently, any time somebody flashes into my mind, when I'm driving, when I'm fearful, for my family, my decisions, for our country -- and I believe I'm strengthening God's heavenly ministers and warriors for His cause. I am seeing real answers to prayer and insights about things of faith. Of course, this is just my experience, but I thank Frank Peretti's book for setting me on a path that buoys me. cb
