The Mexican you'd be doing it to probably disagree. When you consider how much money Mexico and the Mexican people cost us, that's peanuts. We can't keep footing the bill for everyone.
Until you stop buying Mexican products because of the increased price. I don't even want to think about what the fallout from Mexican-US trade collapsing could be.Sure is, and I hope all those Mexicans send us thank you notes for paying that tariff for them.
When you consider the tens of thousands of jobs that Americans have, all the profits companies make, and the U.S. taxes those companies pay, thanks to trade with Mexico, this will cost us much, much more. When you consider how much money Mexico and the Mexican people cost us, that's peanuts. We can't keep footing the bill for everyone.
We're not talking about little things that didn't work. We're talking about his bankruptcies, which weren't real bankruptcies, but Chapter 11 reorganizations to save the business. It's a couple more than 4
A Complete List of Donald Trump’s Business Disasters
We're not talking about little things that didn't work. We're talking about his bankruptcies, which weren't real bankruptcies, but Chapter 11 reorganizations to save the business.
Last I read, Trump has/had over 515 businesses. What, maybe four of them went under?
Some people will stay buy the higher priced foods and other products, but less of it. But they will then have less money for buying other stuff, things produced here in the good old U.S.A. And the people Trump claims he will help will be hurt the most, since billionaires can afford to buy the higher priced stuff, but Walmart workers will be really hurting.Until you stop buying Mexican products because of the increased price. I don't even want to think about what the fallout from Mexican-US trade collapsing could be.

OOH, don't get me into that, which as usual for you, Saucy, is off topic. Let me just say this: Even Chapter 11 bankruptcies cost some people a lot of money, since contractors, workers and others owed money get pennies on the dollar. The very sad truth is that Trump's bankruptcies (and they are his, even if they were of the corporate variety, since he was responsible) have cost many people a lot. Contractors and sub-contractors going out of business, filing for bankruptcy themselves, thousands and thousands of people not getting paid for the stuff they sold Trump or the work they did. Chapter 11 is not a Zero Sum proposition. Trump wins, everyone else loses. Trump is noted for playing games with tax laws, bankruptcy, and the courts so he can have more gold plated fixtures in his homes, planes, and boats. We're not talking about little things that didn't work. We're talking about his bankruptcies, which weren't real bankruptcies, but Chapter 11 reorganizations to save the business.
I don't care if they agree or not. We simply can't do it any more. Some sources say there are as many as between 10 and 20 million illegals in this country. How many of them get food stamps? Welfare? Have jobs and send money back to Mexico? Subsidized housing? Free access to Obamacare and other medical care? The billions we have been giving in aid to sanctuary cities? The cost of public education for all the kids? And yet, don't pay taxes because they are hiding out and working under the table in a lot of cases? The Mexican you'd be doing it to probably disagree.
So... in firm, cited figures, how much are "Mexico and the Mexican people cost(ing) us"?
Yes I misspoke. My bad. That are REAL bankruptcies, but there are different types of bankruptcies. You're thinking he lost those businesses, but he just simply restructured them.Oh for...
A cursory Google search will tell you that Chapter 11 is a type of bankruptcy. It is a real bankruptcy.
Again, you derail the thread. You are talking about illegal immigration, which is different that tariffs and taxes, and who will pay for them.I don't care if they agree or not. We simply can't do it any more. Some sources say there are as many as between 10 and 20 million illegals in this country. How many of them get food stamps? Welfare? You're still doing something to themI don't care if they agree or not.
I see plenty of claims, I don't see many citationsWe simply can't do it any more. Some sources say there are as many as between 10 and 20 million illegals in this country. He lost plenty of businesses too.Yes I misspoke. My bad. That are REAL bankruptcies, but there are different types of bankruptcies. You're thinking he lost those businesses, but he just simply restructured them.
ALL those billionaires and millionaires I listed do the same thing. You just look for more reasons to hate and delegitimize Trump, so suddenly it's more meaningful for you. They ALL lose money. They ALL have projects that fail. They ALL do WHATEVER it takes to keep their business alive. They ALL play with the tax code to make it work for them. And it's ALL 100% LEGAL!OOH, don't get me into that, which as usual for you, Saucy, is off topic. So? Why is that important? He's still infinitely more successful than any of you trying to tear him down for the few failures he's had.He lost plenty of businesses too.
Because you brought it upSo? Why is that important?
No, I'm being intellectually rigorous about it. If anyone says anything I know to be factually incorrect, I'll usually say something. You're just being petty about it.
According to FAIR, illegal immigration costs us over $113 billion per year. And that's not including the trade deficit. The Mexican you'd be doing it to probably disagree.

Cool. Good article. Not all illegal residents are Mexicans, of course. But anyhoo.According to FAIR, illegal immigration costs us over $113 billion per year. And that's not including the trade deficit.

No, I don't hate Trump. I don't anyone, not even you. Some of the people on your list were not billionaires or even millionaires, some were horrible businessmen (Grant?).ALL those billionaires and millionaires I listed do the same thing. You just look for more reasons to hate and delegitimize Trump, so suddenly it's more meaningful for you. They ALL lose money. They ALL have projects that fail. They ALL do WHATEVER it takes to keep their business alive. They ALL play with the tax code to make it work for them. And it's ALL 100% LEGAL!
Not a single person on this forum or in this country pays more taxes than they have to. Every single one of you attacking Trump for his taxes and losing money have lost money before, have failed before, and finds ways to not pay more taxes than they have to. Any one of you would've taken a tax exemption if you had a bad year if you had the opportunity.
Oh, but you hate Trump, so let's attack him for it.
