Anyone a fan? Known most recently for the song "Stacy's Mom"...but they've been around for awhile. I got into them after their first album was released back in 1997 (I think). All their songs are very catchy and they're a lot of fun to listen to. I've just haven't really seen them mentioned much around the forums.

I dont like them. Their music lacks any creativity or rdeeming social value. What kind of Christian endorses a song about a young man having a sexual tryst with his g/f's mom? Absurd!
Well I think it's wrong to judge them based on one song. I mean if you're really going to discount them because of one novelty radio hit, I guess that's your choice...but I don't think its fair. They have more songs that are about the hum-drum life of working an office job as opposed to songs revolving around sex. They do have some mild swearing, but most of their songs are actually clean wholesome songs.

I would advise to check out the following songs:
Troubled Times (1 swear word)
It Must Be Summer
Valley Winter Song
Hey Julie
I've Got a Flair

Then judge them on the basis of some of their better songs. Of course...if they're just not your style of music, then there's not much that can be done.

I'm sort of a fan. Their first album was really good, catchy power-pop. Their second sucked, and their new album is lots of fun. They're sort of lightweight, but awesome driving music.

I didn't like their second album at first...but it really grew on me. Now I really like it, although I would agree that it is the weakest of the 3.

I'll admit that I hadn't listened to the 2nd album for a really really long time, since I'd already made up my mind about it and there's so much to listen to, who has time for the second-rate. So I just pulled it out and listened to it, and there are some really good songs on it. Troubled Times, It Must Be Summer, Denise, Lost In Space, Prom Theme, Amity Gardens...all excellent pop songs that would probably appeal to any Blink 182 fan. Red Dragon Tattoo is a little too obviously trying to follow-up Radiation Vibe in the summertime radio hit category they had, but still catchy.

I still think it's the worst of the 3, but my estimation has risen a bit.
