Forums for Kids

Hi - hope this is the right place to post!

I'm a teacher at an intermediate school in New Zealand (think that's 'middle school' in america???) and we are about to begin a unit on technology and the way that it's changed communication over the past 50 years. Anyway, for part of that, we want to introduce the kids to forums. So...

Does anyone know of any good (ie. safe - no 'objectionable material', swearing etc.) forums for kids aged 12-13??? (aside from CF that is! )

Depends on what you want. I have forums on my website that are clear from objectionable material (usually, if there is any i remove it as soon as I see it, which is usually pretty quickly), but there aren't a lot of other people on it, and they are all high school and college kids. I also have some semi-strict rules, but I would be willing to overlook some of the stuff if the kids do make an effort to not trash my forums .
