• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi - hope this is the right place to post!

I'm a teacher at an intermediate school in New Zealand (think that's 'middle school' in america???) and we are about to begin a unit on technology and the way that it's changed communication over the past 50 years. Anyway, for part of that, we want to introduce the kids to forums. So...

Does anyone know of any good (ie. safe - no 'objectionable material', swearing etc.) forums for kids aged 12-13??? (aside from CF that is! ;) )

Thanks heaps!

Depends on what you want. I have forums on my website that are clear from objectionable material (usually, if there is any i remove it as soon as I see it, which is usually pretty quickly), but there aren't a lot of other people on it, and they are all high school and college kids. I also have some semi-strict rules, but I would be willing to overlook some of the stuff if the kids do make an effort to not trash my forums :p. Don't know if that helps you, but if you think it would work and help, please, be my guest and have them join. The link to my site is in my profile.
