I been wondering for a few days now if we can finally all say enough is enough, time to end the fighting, the name calling, the brother against brother, sister against sister, friend against friend and lets all make nice?

its just something I been wondering is all. maybe folks can shake hands, seek and give forgiveness, agree to disagree, accept or move on? whats all been said here over the past couple weeks is your witness, good or bad, to the world.

its been on my mind the past couple days. am talking here as a fellow member.

I agree

That rings loud and clear. Enough is enough. Fighting and name calling is not the answer. Further what kind of example does it set for the outreach part of this site. Calling others names and hurling stones is not the Christian example. That is for certain. I am praying with you for peace in Jesus Holy Name...

Message to Doubtless,

I have not ignored your response. I am not quoting it or responding to any posts from anyone that contain any name calling . I am now blind to those types of posts only for the purpose of bringing peace.

I will always be glad to respond to any post but the name calling in them must be absent. Be Well Always...

Doubtless,

you say: Dr. Loh gave an explanation fo why he took Christian out, including that he wanted to open the forums to unbelievers, so that he could, in effect, witness to them, and draw them towards Christ (or at least, that's what I get from his comments).

You say yourself that his goal was to reach out to others. To spread the word. Now, you (and others... perhaps even myself) disagree with the WAY he went about that, but that's a tactical mistake.

Think about it. You both have the same goal (your goal is to spread the word to others, right? And above it shows that you know Erwin's goal was to do the same) but you disagree with him on HOW he did this.

His intention was the same, at least by your words it was. So, how can you be so harsh on him just because his method is different. That's fine to say "Erwin, I think changing the name was a bad idea becuase it won't accomplish our common goal" but to say that he in anyway denied Christ AND admitting that his goal was to bring others to Christ makes no sense.

You're being terribly unfair to Erwin and trying to assume what he believes personally without proof, in fact DESPITE proof to the contrary of what you are claiming.

If outreach is to be more than a wish there will need to be leadership and commitment.

Here is the result of my challenge to staff to post 5 outreach posts per day.

The outreach team has four staff members (1 supertmnod mod and 3 mods). There is no Admin.

My challenge to SR received a tame response.

So is Outreach a Credible Goal of CF>f ??? Or is this just Lip Service???

Lets' See.

yes , because some have been using this site for outreach long before a new vision was implemented and found few here interested in anything but pink unicorns and endless debates on hell.......

that is my biggest question over these past Months , those who dig the new "reforms" should be first and foremost soul-winners for Christ , but I cannot see it happening ...... this oNE occassion I would dearly love to be wrong.

I have a problem of putting people on the spot when we should allow the Holy Spirit work through us.

Its not just the moderators or administrators but rather all Christians. Christian's accountability involves "one anothers" that every members are encouraged to be actively serving and ministering their gifts. Over the years, people always "expect" leaders to do this when they do nothing. Many churches are facing this problem and it is no surprise that we are having similar problem here as well.

This kind of ministerial work should be carried on purely for God and the salvation of souls, not for any private ends of our own. This forum is a place where we can make real friendship, meaningful fellowship, and truly serving God.

Administrators and moderators are sinners like we are however, they have to live in higher standards than the rest of us because they are our what I call "mediators" who make sure we "behave". We all need to understand that we all have weaknesses. Administrators and moderators are often alone because they are so busy "serving" others but NO ONE is helping them "serving" others.

I am curious, what exactly is the job description for each administrator and moderator?

So, if you are a Christian looking for an easy ministry in a post-Christian culture where Christians are a minority, you are unrealistic in your outlook. It was not to be so in Jeremiah's day, and it cannot be so in ours. Francis Schaeffer; Death in the City (Downers Grove, InterVarsity Press: 1969) 37

You can not just limit outreach to these people who are currently short handed and in the process of attempting to bring and maintain order in this place . Especially at this point in time. Every member of this place, staff and non staff, needs to take part in this. Every member. . It is every Christian's responsibility to reach out. At least that is what I always believed .

I understand your point but at this time it is truly pointless as they already have a back log of reports in that report section to deal with. I know for a fact that outreach is also attempted with each official action. Especially now that the reports are out in the public eye.

We are followers of Christ do we watch someone struggle and call the staff to help them. No , We need to do it as often as we can.

Be well always...

my prediction is that there will be no outreach as such , especially by those who wanted these new reforms , i think it will simply evaporate , men prefer to debate the purpose of a forum rather than reach out to those lost in sin , i will watch here , every day i predict excuses for doing zip will arise .......... i welcome being wrong.

No disrespect intended but you are not correct. Go look at my page. The list of friends I have there are all people who have either reached to me or that I have reached out to in the Spirit of brotherhood. I contend that is probably one third to half of all the people who have touched me here on this forum. This is only one forum. I pray at thirteen others everyday before I even get here. We do not need to be staff or priests or pastors to do this. We need to be Christian and that is all we need. It really is not that hard to do. What is Christianity then ? If it is not reaching to your brother and sister in the Spirit of brotherhood then what is it ? You have a valid point and sadly for many you are correct. But it is those many that need to get off their hands and get moving . It is really so rewarding to do. The reward is in the act of helping.

Be well always...

He just did. Didn't you see it? He has been posting about The Holy Spirit all over these threads. Is that not pastoring to people? Is that not part of what outreach is ? I contend it is...
