While I am not for dwelling on the past with bitter, unconstructive statements that are meant to do nothing but grind Erwin's nose into the ground and make him feel for what he did or didn't do, I DO feel that the above needed to be said not to make sure Erwin et al. feel bad but so that they might rething EVER making these changes (even in 15 years if Foru.ms is still around).

But again Erwin, thanks for you humility and hard work here. I really mean that.

Pretty soon, God will be taken out of even the subtitle, and placed in a tiny, remote, isolated thread for the few Faithful of that day to talk openly about God. In any other thread, it will be considered an offense to even speak the name, "Christ," unless used in vain.

Wow. You just came from a tent meeting and you have that much hostility? Let it go. I didn't read one iota of compassion in those words from the first to the last . God is all over this place. God is all over this world when He is within you. No one on this planet can ever stifle God. No one can ever put God behind the scenes of anything. Open your eyes look at the top of these pages . Open your eyes and look to the rules that govern this place now as they are being formulated and based on the ten commandments .This is only the beginning. God is all over this place. This is one giant oasis for all. Do you throw strangers out of your tent meetings on the basis of not knowing them or because they are not wearing a cross or carrying a bible with them when they enter? I am sure you don't. I am sure you outreach to them. Do you call them rats in a hole? Do you say to them welcome rats? Of course not. That went over the line.

This place has Christ deep within and it would have never even existed if it were not for Erwin Loh. Don't applaud him if you choose not to but this dirty degradation of someone you do not even know is not good. Not good at all. Pray Mister for the answers and rest most assuredly I will be praying with you too.

That is exactly the point now isn't it ? I can understand the upset but if I live to one hundred years old I will never understand the reason to be negative and attack people. Believe me I have seen plenty in my careers . After each episode ranging from simple arguments to murder I always paused and wondered why ?

In just about every single instance all parties involved regretted being mean and forgave the others. Some were in so deep that life's were ruined and ended in the process.

I have said some very harsh words to people in my life and I regret each and every one. I have prayed for forgiveness countless times. Is it human nature to go on the attack before taking into account each others feelings ? Perhaps. It seems to be. If I have learned anything during this life time it is not to react or at the very least react as little as possible before being given time to think.

Feel for the other person and then at that point decide whether or not to continue , stop or temper the exchange . Compassion is so so important. Whether a mistake was made or not why must we react without it ? I am not far enough along yet in this learning experience called life to have those answers but everyday that passes it seems a little easier to wait , think and then respond. I understand the reasoning . Well I guess life is not always easy but I say again ,it sure is a wonderful opportunity to learn.

SunMessenger, thank you. I have to admit that I am a fierce person, who loves to debate (blame it on my German and Irish blood). However, as a man of my convictions, I cannot take back what I said, nor will I ever. If I have sinned, I'm sorry. There is a thin grey line between wrong and right in debating, and I often have trouble seeing it. I still hold to the fact that Dr. Erwin Loh has disgraced these forums and God in removing the name "Christian" from the title of the forums. Why? Here's why: because he did it not arbitrarily, but with a purpose. Dr. Loh gave an explanation fo why he took Christian out, including that he wanted to open the forums to unbelievers, so that he could, in effect, witness to them, and draw them towards Christ (or at least, that's what I get from his comments). In explaining this, Dr. Loh ADMITS THAT THE NAME IS MORE THAN JUST A WORD. He KNOWS that it means something to unbelievers, and that is why he removed it. It's no different then for a Church to change its name from "Church of God" to just "Fellowship of People," just so that sinners will come. It's like putting God's Holy Name in fine print at the bottom of a statement.

No, Dr. Loh would not have been wrong in starting the site as Foru.ms, UNLESS, adding CHRISTIAN before it was a thought that occurred to him. If it did, and he turned it down for the reasons that he removed the name recently, then he would have sinned. I would not have been angry about it, however, because, most likely, I would not have known that he had thought about adding Christian to it, and turned it down for that reason. However, if I had known, I would not have joined the site.

So, SunMessenger, you're asking why I fight? I'll tell you why. I fight because the Holy Name of my God and Saviour means more to me than just a name. Even now, if you were to go to Congress (in America) and disgrace America, you would be forcably removed from the building, if not arrested for disturbing the peace. This, in a soon-to-be pacifist country (I hate pacifism. If you want to know why, just ask.)! An in America, God is being taken out of so many things (government official in Alabama being removed from office for not allowing them to take Ten Commandments out of government building, teachers being forced to remove Ten Commandments from their schools, prayer removed from schools, etc. etc.), so when I see it taken down from a supposedly CHRISTIAN site, it's like being an extreme patriot and watching some idiot burn the flag of your country. Only worse: Erwin burned the flag of my God.

its just something I been wondering is all. maybe folks can shake hands, seek and give forgiveness, agree to disagree, accept or move on? whats all been said here over the past couple weeks is your witness, good or bad, to the world.
