Whats your favorite subject to tussle? Use words I can understand pleaseWe're cool.
Eventually we'll get this site operating again and we can have a fun tussle in General Theology (or whatever it's called now).

That's rather debatable.... since..... nevermind
Calling me a heresy hunter I don't consider exactly "innocent". (namely coming from such a tolerant man)
But I will say that there's been some instigating brewing. I think Sun's welcome to his comment becuz comments have been instigating imo.
I'm not exactly a heresy HUNTER, but if i see one im going to shoot it

I might not wait and join that other site you are a mod on. I always mess up the initials so I wont try to post them here. You know the one I mean. Are they ready for me there yet? We're cool.

I don't know seebs but politics sounds good to me. I will try not to swear too much. There were two subjects I never allowed in my social clubs when I owned them. One was politics and the other was religion. Too many fights that way. It kept the peace... LOLI only moderate in the junkyard (~~Elsewhere~~) and the politics sections. I don't wander the religious sections very much. That's seebs' mission field (and he does a pretty good job there). Of course, he'll give me a sad look now that I've referred to General Religious Discussions as a "mission field."
I'm sorry, I don't debate people for fun; esp. when they admit it's for fun. :/Let's get his site running again and then we'll tussle in GT. It'll be fun.
My friend you discount faith. Spiritual understands spiritual and physical understands phusical. Our home is not this earth, our journey is spiritual. Why do you think that Jesus spoke in parables, those with spiritual; ears understood, those that didnt were not.
Me too.I miss seebs.
I think matters are progressing well so far. I would not use the word "all" but "most" would probably fit much better. That's a great improvement in and of itself. All good news today. Great day lots of progress on several fronts and all are positive. So have we all made up here?
It might take me a day or two but maybe I'll forgive the Belt Parkway too
Wow, talk about judgemental and intolorantChristians may disagree but the common denominator is Christ and Christ alone for all of us. Some just skim the surface of the bible while others study for years, we are all at a different point in our walk. Should more love be shown, yes, should we look the other way for the sake of unity, I think not. Same with sinners, we all sin, we love the sinner and hate the sin. Prayer and example are powerful motivators my friend and I wish you well
This is a good time to sit back and reflect, think back and ask "did I behave the way Christ wanted me to behave?" Our hearts are like a garden and must be kept free from weeds and insects. To expect the fruits and flowers bloom in an untended heart is to misunderstand completely the processes of Grace and God's will. Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:10 You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance. We know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, proven character; and . . . (Rom. 5:3-4). Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect (mature) and complete, lacking in nothing (Jam. 1:3-4).
Did we allow Christ's grace to practice patience? 2 Thessalonians 3:5 May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance.
Did we do the following in Colossians 3:12-13 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
We need to find a way to get back into harmony.
I believe it is time for us to bury our regrets and start looking into positive future in this "Foru.ms. We are to "learn" from the past rather than "holding on to the past". It would be nice not to have any regrets. If we had no regrets, we would never grow. Regret is a sign of two things:
1. First, it is a sign of God's working in our lives
2. Second, it is a sign that God wants us to do it different next time
Quotes about "Learning from History".
"What I am great advocate of looking into the past, I could warn everybody against living in the past. The only justification for looking to the past is that we may learn great lessons from it and apply them" (Martyn Lloyd-Jones)
By avoiding the mistakes of the past: "Those who fail to remember the past are condemned to repeat it" (George Santayana)
By repeating the victories of the past: "Those who fail to remember the past are condemned not to repeat it" (David B. Calhoun)
You are ahead of me on this, even though I am on the same path of thinking. This is a good time to sit back and reflect, think back and ask "did I behave the way Christ wanted me to behave?" That post helped me sleep very well last evening. I usually do but it somehow relieved some stress and I appreciate it. I agree with your commentary on this...You are ahead of me on this, even though I am on the same path of thinking.
Great post!
