I think I am technically challenged at the moment. My pants will not return . Is this some kind of a pay back or something ? :)
Perhaps they got...

raptured? Were they especially holy pants, "Christian" pants?

Then I believe I have that same right being the mirror of perception can easily change, I believe I am able to support why I believe this too.

The point is calling someone it rather then using it as a conclusion to your reasons.

example
If you use the bible to support these claims then be prepared to be called out to support your bible.
And thus the problem with the new forum. On a Christian Forum no one would have to "defend the Bible"

Thank you for illustrating the point,.

I apologize if I find this all to be laughable; it's the net. Words on a screen, I don't really see any reason to make such a huge fuss over it. And notice the operative word "IF" in my previous post.

Thank you for your pray, dear person.

You're welcome. I know it's over the net, but the meaning behind it is real. Plus, it may be the internet, but real people are behind these computers.

I've been lurking as a guest for a good while now...but the length of this thread was ridiculous, and I felt the urge to respond although I may not of expressed myself in the proper manner. :)

I find this extremely amusing; all this fussing and nonsense because of some changes to a INTERNET forum.
The name forum changed, GET OVER IT. Maybe Erwin will have it changed back or whatnot.
The forum is more open to nonbelievers and those pesky "Christians", GET OVER IT.

I take it to mean here that you are referring to what "we" think of Erwin's changing, a bit of sarcasm here, right?

Well, I don't really care what you think of the name change, I was just telling you good folks to get over it.

'Oh Boo Hoo, I iz leaving the site fer EVER cuz dat Erwin person lied and made changes without my consent and itz turnin' into one of dem secular forumz with those evil nonbelievers plaguin' our boards wit der evilness.'

Again, you are meaning the people on this board upset over Erwin's name change. Right?

I suppose so, I was referring more to the people that are losing their ever lovin' minds over it, I guess I should of made that more apparent. :sorry:

<-That is utterly pathetic. If you can't properly defend your Faith against criticism then that shows your weakness and maybe you should reevaluate your belief system.

I think what you say here is implying you are not a Christian, therefore resulting in the response you received from your statement. ;)

Well the 'faith' icon would indicate that.

But anyways...

Thank you Christians for giving me a laugh this afternoon. :)

If you've already clarified it, great..

You didn't get around much then.

More then once I've read threads over the years defending the bible, or what version, or what is / isn't included.

But we should always be ready and be able to, otherwise, how can we expect to evangelize anyone?. That shouldn't make a difference. We, Christians as a whole I mean, are woefully undereducated and underskilled in apologetics, IMHO.

I know much of the histories of the writings that were canonized and what weren't. I believe I have some very reasonable questions regarding the reliably of the bible. I have yet to see them reasonably answered.

Even some Christians know of these histories and are unable to accept the bible as what others claim it to be.

But I digress. I understand your belief, I also believe you have a right to your belief.

Anything else you would demand it to be supported, as would I. To place something out of this need to be supported only brings up more questions as to why does this something escape the need to be supported as everything else does?

Agreed:thumbsup: We need to always be prepared to fight on the frontlines of any spiritual battle that comes our way.

I never posted that I wasn't ready, capable or able to. But that is not what I go to a purpotedly Christian forum for. I spend my entire day with non-believers and never fail to give a ready defense but even Jesus had times with only believers.

I agree. But the non-Christians are not the only ones guilty of it.

I have been called evil, mislead, lost, the problem, incapable of understanding, etc...

I disagree with all of these labels, and I see these labels as a method of dehumanizing.

I don't believe I am that abrasive, yet I still get my fair share. It is not to tough to see why some might lash out every once in a while.

I don't think anyone should bash another, Christian, non-Christian, Atheist or whatever. Someone had said that there were no non-christians bashing the christians and to point out if they were mistaken. Well I read it with my own eyes, unfortunately it was in chat and it gets reset every now and then, so I couldn't post the OP. Point being, no one should be able to bash anyone. But when I say bash, I don't mean that you can't tell someone they are mislead or mistaken. I mean the LOL comments about how stupid those "pesky" christians are. The name calling. There is a difference in stating your opinion that someone is not thinking along the right lines and saying someone is stupid, idiodic, pesky etc.etc.etc. I am a Christian, and I will defend my faith in Jesus Christ. And BTW being a "Christian" is "Believe on the Lord, Jesus Christ" (according to Acts 16:31)and Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: It is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast". And finally John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." THAT is what is a Christian.

I do agree. There is a difference whether it is just calling someone something or as a conclusion supported by reasons. I do understand this difference and I was not referring to supported claims.

Just as if I make the opposite claim and support it with reason it shouldn't be seen as an attack, but a conclusion. Which then has every right to be refuted, and I will be more the happy to coincide my conclusion if my reasons can be shown to be faulty.

Giving Credit where it is due, thank you Erwin for the changes on the graphics & wording. I think they're enough to help identify that it's at least claiming to be Christian.

My "complaints" aren't anger at you at all - I've been trying to be constructive in what I say because of what I've experienced in debating here - just hoping that eventually if there continue to be problems, you may want to impliment things later on.

Thanks again
