  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How many have you seen and what are your favorites? I watch alot of Hindi movies, since I'm Indian, but I'm not Hindi. So I watch the movies with subtitles. My favorite is Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. I've also seen Y Tu Mama Tambien (extremely explicit), Brotherhood of the Wolf, Bend It Like Beckham, and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. That's all I can think of now, but I know I've seen more. I'll post more as they come to my head.

Belle Epoque is definitely my favorite foreign flick. The plot is pretty predictable, but the characters are so quirky and humorous that it hardly matters. I especially like the guy who keeps switching between being a Carlista and a Republican, swearing each time that this time its for good.

Some good foreign films I've seen that haven't been mentioned yet... (FWIW, I usually don't consider British movies to be "foreign" since there's real language barrier to overcome; otherwise this list would be much longer.)

Metropolis (Germany)
Aguirre, the Wrath of God (Germany)
Run Lola Run (Germany)
The Princess & The Warrior (Germany)
The Legend of Rita (Germany)
Das Boot (Germany)
Stalingrad (Germany)
Fantastic Planet (France)
The City of Lost Children (France)
Delicatessen (France)
Queen Margot (France)
La Femme Nikita (France)
Insomnia (Sweden)
El Topo (Spain)
Salaam Bombay (India)
The Seven Samurai (Japan)
The Hidden Fortress (Japan)
Ran (Japan)
