  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Obviously those who interpret the Constitution and get to decide what it means---the United States Supreme Court---disagrees with you. So it doesn't matter what YOU may think is relevant, the court decided it isn't. You're tilting at windmills.

I guess the court dosen't follow their own constitution or the people of the US. So let me ask you again. Why are unborn children not provided an adequate trial before their death? Death without an adequate trial is a violation of the constitution.

The operative word in 'unborn'. They are not people yet in the eyes of the law.

Weeeell.

Didn't know what the private laws were, so I checked your link.

So, if an atheist got wrongly deported, would he get a compensation? Or is that the actual plan to force morality on me?

We force morality on you everyday! It's called the LAW!

Technically you cant force morality on someone even using the law, they are still going to do whatever they want, they will just be punished for it after doing it. Like if someone kills someone, they will be punished, but they have still killed the person. Also its not your morals that are being forced on people or else abortions and homosexuality would be illegal too.

What's with this "we"? You seem confused. Given your leanings towards violence, as has been mentioned, it is those of YOU (the violent among us) that the laws are made in order to protect the community. Very odd.

Maybe the "We" is referring to a group consisting of the Christian God, the Government, and ShieldOFaith?

Just a guess.

SOF can correct me if i am off. He knows he's my favorite fundamentalist on these forums, him and AV1611VET, both. Or if he didn't, he knows now. I actually kinda like when people post things i really disagree with.. lets me examine my own beliefs in comparison.

Now there's a triad! that makes me shudder lol.

Should the Holy Trinity be revised? LOL

Dang, that is pretty scary. This whole thing about forcing morality on others is scary to begin with, from my liberal/immoral perspective.. lol

Once again, morality and law do not go hand-in-hand. You feel that abortion is immoral and it is legal here in the US. I'm pretty sure that you would feel that switching from Islam to Christianity would be a moral act, yet it is illegal in several countries.

You are my fav. pagan. At least you don't go frothing at the mouth when I speak about right and wrong, and eternal punishment.

Forcing Morality is a good thing.

When we put up a "Stop" sign at the corner, we are FORCING MORALITY.

It is a bad thing when you try forcing Immorality!!!

SOLA GRATIA.

LOL thank you . :) I just try to keep it in perspective. Everyone has the fundamental right to their beliefs... I think that limiting individuals' right to believe as they wish would be a form of immorality in my opinion. So although I greatly disagree with you, i don't think you shouldn't have the right to your thoughts.

So you're saying that the decision to put up a stop sign, as well as the decision to obey one, are moral decisions?

I'm sorry, the placing of stop signs are not based on morality but on public safety. This, to me, further indicates that you don't understand the first thing about morality.
