For Old-Earth Creationists: Entropy existed before Adam

Hello folks. As an Old-Earth Creationist, there has been something that has been nagging me. Some Christians say that disease and entropy, a slow failure of created things in the universe did not happen before the fall of man. However, this article states that even dinosaurs (created millions of years before humans) had disease. Also, as we may know, massive stars died in our universe long before Earth was created.

We are "star stuff" according to the science of Sagan and Tyson. Hosts of Cosmos. The Universe stated off smaller than a mustard seed, but that seed contained all the information needed for all of time. God declares the end from the beginning. At conception we have all of our gifts, talents and abilities in our DNA.

Life was very different at the time of the dinosaurs. The atmosphere was very different. The sky was pink, not blue. Primates existed but in a very small and primitive state. 10% always survives major extinctions and today Crocodiles and Turtles did survive. The live very long lives, hundreds of years and they grow to be very big.

When man did appear the cause of death is murder. They were killed with a smashed skull, arrowhead or spear. They were all killed in the prime of life which would indicate there was no ageing. From Adam to Noah people lived to be 1,000. Adam and Noah's father were alive together so that they could have known each other.

Most of disease Science considers to be caused by civilization. There is little evidence of disease before Adam and Eve back when we were good gathers before food producers. When man began to produce his own food the populations exploded as many more people could be fed.

Look at 1800s London for example. Large cities before proper sewage had a lot of disease caused by improper waste management. Rats spread disease as trash lay on the street. So yeah, large cities of modern civilization can be hotspots for disease.

Umm i think you got your times/epochs mixed up.

Yeah, the beginning happened 13.8 billion years ago, when God spoke the universe into existence. Dinosaurs first appeared 230M years ago.

Exactly. So when we talk about Adam and Eve in fellowship with God with incorruptible bodies then we have to think about How Entropy played into that existence.
Did God made our bodies into a type of configuration which defied entropy and we got the incoruptibility from the Tree of Life or did Entropy not exist at all?

Entropy must have existed before humans, so God must have allowed Adam and Eve to be separated from entropy during their creation, and when they sinned, entropy made their way into humans.

Yeah, so in this scenario then the Tree of Life must have had something to do with it because it may have been a mechanism to defeat entroy in human bodies.

It must be. Entropy and randomness must have happened before humans, as chaos such as earthquakes happened long before humans.

Another question for you. Why do you think Adam and Eve were in this realm or dimension?
Maybe they were in another dimension which was Outside of this universe. Have you ever thought about that?

I think Adam and Eve were of this dimension. But God could have imbued them with immortality and incorruptible bodies. God is beyond dimensions, but within each and every dimension at the same time.

Yes, like the dimension of myth. Why do we assume that writings from far distant times and places must be understood literally and according to contemporary ideas?

Because people back then experienced supernatural events or miracles just like today.

I agree. But some supernatural stuff could be beyond science, and the concept of dimensions as well. It does seem less miracles happen nowadays compared to back before Jesus' time.

Yeah, that's what supernatural is. Anything we can't explain. Also Science is not this Thing that sits out there alone. It's us, asking How questions.
The latest mass-miracle which was fairly recent was the miracle of the sun in portugal.

Yeah, that's what supernatural is. Anything we can't explain. Also Science is not this Thing that sits out there alone. It's us, asking How questions.
The latest mass-miracle which was fairly recent was the miracle of the sun in portugal.

Awesome. I have also heard of Eucharistic miracles as well, where the Eucharist bread in Catholic churches physically turn into flesh and blood.

I do that here. If there is a dead mouse or something in the yard I just leave it for the animals to eat. I read a story once where they got in a sword fight and cut off someone's arm. They just threw the arm up in an alley and figured the rats would eat it. They did not follow the sanitation that Moses gives us in the Bible. Just like to day we have massive amounts of disease because people do not follow a healthy diet.

Dr Ornish has done a huge amount of research to show that the cure to many diseases is diet and exercise.

Yep. That is actually the prevention of many food related diseases. It can not however, cure autism, down syndrome or ADHD.
