I honestly had no idea EA was in that bad of shape. Perhaps they aquired too many small studios too quickly?

Not surprised at all. Their mismanagement of their games is renowned in their quest to own every independent gaming company in the world. It started with Ultima Online and since then, they have had 0 success with the MMO market. It's traveled into their single player games as well by forcing unrealistic release dates on the companies and end up sending out incomplete products because they are rushed.

I'm just very happy Bioware was able to release Dragon Age without the EA curse. I believe it's EA's biggest seller of the year. Now I just hope they don't drive it into the ground.

They completely ruined the Need for Speed franchise, and as a rule they take a genre and dumb it down for the sake of accessibility and mass appeal. I think they could use a good shake-up.

Honestly the only EA games I have played recently that I enjoyed are Dragon Age (that's becuase Bioware is amazing) and Rock Band (same goes for Harmonix).
