Food cravings during the great Fast

I've just been preparing my basket to go with me tonight - now THAT was hard going

Still not long to go now - I'll last out

Just in the last few days I've started craving fish. I don't really like fish. It takes me back to the days of my wife's pregnancy cravings...

This doesn't have anything to do with food (per say), I merely didn't want to start a new topic:
Holy Saturday, this has to be the longest day on the Orthodox Calendar. Tonight's services begin well after the time the services previously during this week would have already ended.. I'm tired already.
I'm old, it's past my bedtime and there are 4 hours yet to go before services start.

It's hit me much earlier than usual I can't really see why .
My poor GodPapa is longing for some milk in his coffee

I have found Almond milk to be an acceptable substitute. I can't drink my coffee without cream. Use the Sweet Cream variety. I think he will be pleasantly surprised during the next fast.

I remember, back when I was a catechumen in the BCC, talking with my godmother. She told me that when she was little, they had a neighbor who ate nothing but lobster for the whole Fast.

"He kept the fast technically, but he really missed the spirit of the Fast."
