one of the worst organizations i can think of.
Oh boy. Another "laundry list" rant from Voeglin.Yeah. Right. The opposite side, the many nonprofits George Soros has, the attacks on the faith Norman Lear's "People for the American Way" have launched have not been sucessful. The endless editorials against the faith by the New York Times have not have any results. The stream of books liberals are cranking out attacking the "religious right" are a misguided attempt to change minds.
Christians should stick to their churches and shut up. They are hypocrites who need to reform their institutions before daring to speak outside them.
We should not speak outside our churches, we should not form non church organizations which reflect our beliefs. We should listen to Frank Rich, Paul Krugman, Arthur Sulzberger Jr, Richard Cohen, Norman Podhoretz, Bill Kristol and others not of our faith to know what we should do.
I don't believe that for a minute. Do you? Really?

Most groups of people, religious or otherwise are far stupider than the stupidest member by themselves. I don't have to tell you what I like because I don't like any of it, and the only thing I'd do to fix a Christian group that was being such a failure is disband. Focus on your own freakin' family people.Be more helpful if those so criticial of Christian groups said what groups they like rather than be negative all the time.
I can tear apart any religion and any denomination. From Quakers to Buddhism to Catholicism to Lutherans to FOTF from the outside. It is easy. Say they aren't living up to their beliefs is the easiest way.
Might make me feel good about myself (for a while ) to do so but skirts the main point.

I don't believe any value that we assign to be Godly and being Christian should EVER have to be 'fought' for. If we Christians recognize them as values, and they are blessed by God, we will always have them. To me, the idea of 'fighting' for values kinda reminds me of how Judas wanted Jesus to fight the Roman authority. But that isn't how Jesus works.I can only think of positive things about FOTF. They do good work with prisoners. They offer families good entertainment over the radio. (Adventures in Odyssey and other shows) They offer parents resources to assist them raising Christian children in this secular world. They fight for Chrisitan values.
I know many do not think that Christians should worry about the laws of this world, but someone has to fight for our values. If no one fights for our rights as Christians, we will lose them.
I was not aware of some of the issues brought up here that I will look into them, but I still think over all they are a good organization.
No organization is perfect, because the people running them cannot be perfect.
