I think we may be finding out the efficacy of flu vaccines on the elderly in the coming years but doing a control group.

It's a concern because:

Good luck American Septegenarians!

I'm glad my 83 year old parents live in Canada where the flu vaccine will still be available (and free). Although we live in Alberta where the government doesn't actually care if my parents get the vaccines; they still grudgingly provide it (knowing, probably that they are likely conservative voters anyways).

Well, really and until this year I usually got the vaccine but really the flu vaccine is a crap shoot anyway because they are guessing Now, granted they are educated guesses ,however, if it turns it that the common strains are not covered or if it turns out that a particular person somehow gets a strain that is never covered then the vaccine really does no good,

From the article:
Finally. Enough of scientists and other liberal elite experts. Influenza vaccine content should be determined by new staffers properly loyal to the president!

Agreed. But I'll still take a vaccine with a probability to work over, nahhhh...we don't need vaccines.

True, they won't know which competing strain will become the most prominent, they have found that the flu shot provides some protection against related strains. It is definitely not "no good". If you've ever gotten the flu, you would want to avoid getting it again, full force.

To my knowledge, I’ve never had the flu, but you said it perfectly!
