Not if you factor the oceans in.

The sea provides the biggest source of wild or domestic protein in the world. Each year some 70 to 75 million tons of fish are caught in the ocean. Of this amount around 29 million tons is for human consumption. The global fish production exceeds that of cattle, sheep, poultry or eggs.

SOURCE
Slight point of correction:

It could've been a sustainable source of protein had over-fishing not occurred and destroyed biodiversity in the oceans, leaving only the fish that are riddled with toxins.

Dozens and dozens of aquatic species that were food sources (and dozens of sub-species underneath them) have gone full-blown extinct in just the past 100 years. And, Worldwide, 90% of the stocks of large predatory fish, such as sharks, tuna, marlin, and swordfish are gone compared to their levels 70 years ago. It stands to reason, you let a species higher up in the food chain go extinct, it has impacts all the way down the food chain.

"Cast some more nets in the ocean" isn't a good plan if we decide to get the population of humans over 9 billion.

It's not helping that we have major G8 countries (who are looked to as world leaders) rejecting things like GMOs and lab grown meat (which would be an absolute necessity if we were to support 9+ billion people...unless, that is, we want to force everyone into veganism and just give people b12 and iron supplements to make up for what they're not getting in their diet)

In other words, a substance that has proven health benefits at low levels may be harmful at twice the recommended limit. We already knew that it was harmful when ingested at high levels. Similar can be said for medications.

Well, considering ocean fish live in the world’s “toilet”, it’s little wonder why they’re becoming (more) toxic.

Don't drink water because water is what fish have sex in.

We don't need that.

;)

I'm so confused. Fish in moderation is healthy for you. It's nice and lean protein. Too much fish is toxic? Do I understand you correctly?

As I crudely alluded to, most industrial waste eventually finds it’s way to the oceans, gets into the food chain and becomes concentrated in the years-old fish. We could poison our planet if we allow too many toxic chemicals to be in the “incorrect” places, and we’d die off.

Ah, yes. That definitely makes more sense.

It's rather scary how it happened in such a short time period.

And from Webster's 1828 Dictionary, which is our church's go-to source for definitions:
  1. to fill; to stock with numbers or abundance
  2. to finish; to complete
I looked in your 1828 dictionary. Replenish means: to fill or build up again.

You see that as being a problem?
I am planning to die happy knowing that my generation did not let Theobroma cacao bean, go extinct. Whether my death is tonight or in the next few years, won’t matter, but if I was alive when chocolate went extinct, it’d “shake things”.

So long as I know that there is chocolate, I will know that there is “hope”.

You do not really see it coming. I have died twice according to the doctors. A few seconds before my heart stopped I felt like I was going to pass out and that was it. I do not remember anything until I was revived and they got my heart working again. God has all the plans for us.

I got a colonoscopy recently and the “propofol amnesia” is what I expect at death. I might have totally embarrassed myself, but since I don’t remember, for me, “nothing” happened.

I just had Anesthesia because they wanted to shock my heart to restore a normal rhythm. There is no warning for that. Or at least I do not remember. There are people who claim to have a NDE but I do not remember ever having one.

You mean there is no "warning" for you crossing the bridge between anesthesia and death, both feels the same?

I was talking about fluoride per the OP.

But I suppose it also pertains to fish, considering how they are healthy to eat in moderation yet may contain toxins like mercury.
