JessB - what are your resources? Car or other motorized transportation? If you have that, you can get into Orlando, which is huge and has everything you are looking for. Post your message on church bulletin boards, it will just take pieces of paper and some thumbtacks.

I am very introverted and avoid human contact as much as possible so my skills at meeting people are not well developed. And as a non-Christian I am not welcome in church groups so I don't know off the top of my head what is available.

Having said that, I visit Orlando often and see church groups everywhere. Plenty of people out and about for you to meet and become friends with.

go to Florida Christian college, not hard to find guys to date there ^_^, or if you wanted to be fun you could go to Ozark Christian College and make it so there is more than 1 person from florida here.
I looked into going to a christian college but I just didn't feel God leading me in that direction. He has really made a path for me to do clinical pharmacy (hospital/ cancer pharmacy) and I have yet to find a christian college that even offers the prerequisites. There is still part of me that wishes I went but I don't think that was were I was meant to be.

Heh, do they have any large christian singles conferences in Florida? You wouldn't believe how hard it is to meet guys to date...

I know that there are Catholic Singles Conferences in the Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete area and as I drive around the area, I see tons of other churches with "Singles night etc" on their signs. Ask your pastor.

Great suggestion!
Or, JessB, you could also hit the internet to find area churches with active Young Adult programs. I know several people have joined the singles group at my church - not that they attend the church or even that religion - they've just read the announcements on the website and shown up. For me, I'd probably call or e-mail the group contact so I wouldn't be walking into a TOTALLY strange group of folks. Some people can do that. I'm not one of them tho ;)

Is there a "church finder" or even a "Florida church finder" Web site? Or even just a "Central Florida church finder"?

basicly the way most people do it is the enroll at the Bible college and live there, taking like 1-2 Bible classes, then commute to the local state school taking their desired classes there, this way they can graduate with a certificate from the Bible college or just get a good solid Bible back ground then go on and finish at the state school.

Thats an awesome program. I will have to look into it. Now it looks like I might have so many new decisions to make! Thats alright God will show me the right way.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only native left in the state. I was born and raised on the west-side of Jacksonville, moved to Orlando for college and now live in Leesburg, which is a nice, quiet community about 50 miles northwest of Orlando (in Lake County).

=) Mandy

Well, welcome aboard. Another native added to the forum.

Which hospital??? Leesburg's very nice. It's so quiet compared to Orlando. I know this is weird, but, aside from all the senior citizens, it almost reminds me of being back in Jacksonville. There more of a community feeling here than there is in Orlando.
