CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Our 8 year old son who has Aspergers Syndrome has made it through 2 days of another school year. Only 178 more days, at least.

Nice to see so many fellow Floridians here! Been in Orlando for about 10 years, so I'm a local transplant now. 
Can you believe what's going on in the news today about the terrorist plan that was thwarted and 21 people arrested who planned on using liquid bombs on planes? Praise God it was stopped.
Now, no one can take anything liquidy on board. They are going to make more arrests too, I hear. They say it is the most deadliest attempt at terrorism yet that would have murdered more people than ever. Thank the Lord He stopped it from happening.
Just wanted to say hey, and start a conversation about something interesting in the news today...

Anyone having a hurricane party? My neighbors are from Boston, and this will be their first hurricane, that is if it even makes it back up to hurricane strength. Im near the east coast in Volusia County, so we are keeping an eye on it, but I dont suspect it will be all that bad.

lol the police here said that everytime theres a hurricane drunks and idiots go to the beach and have a party during the hurricane they ask them what there name is what theyre wearing so IF their bodys are found they can be identified and they ask which funeral home they want to go to

Well if I have a party I rather doubt it will get that wild. I and most of my neighbors are rather tame. It will be more along the lines of a couple of drinks, sodas mostly, put on some Jimmy Buffet and have the whether channel on mute.
