I bet the cruise lines like that, maybe they even mind less that they cannot demand everyone sailing on them be vaccinated.

I think contesting the CDC order does no favours for the cruise industry and may well be short sighted.

• A cruise with fully vaccinated crew and passengers is highly unlikely to be interrupted by a Covid outbreak.

• A cruise with a level of unvaccinated crew and passengers is much more likely to be interrupted by a Covid outbreak.

Would you take a cruise if a Covid outbreak is possible?

Having a federal rule means that cruise lines do not need to make the rule themselves avoiding possible negative publicity.

It will only take a Covid outbreak on one cruise to set the industry back once again.

Ron DeSantis. allegedly Catholic, is so enamored of tourism dollars that not only has allowed continual contagion fests which spread COVID all over the country but also prohibited cruise ships from protecting their passengers and crew. We all remember the passengers stranded on ships last March--prohibited by De Santis from disembarking.

What's more, my SIL and niece work in the medical field and couldn't get vaccines till May!

Putting money before human life time after time is about as immoral as you can get.
