We have actual evidence the Earth is spherical.Right, and some think God is not returning to earth. The bible never said the earth was flat, it did say He is returning.
That is news?We have actual evidence the Earth is spherical.
There is no help I can offer you in your error.
Agree no one on Mars will escape the return of Christ to rule and reign. BUT I disagree that the natural nature of man to explore is an attempt to flee from God. It is my personal opinion that many leaders on the left are far more guilty of fleeing from God than those envolved in space exploration. No one will get away and stay away. Meanwhile the countless billions of dollars spent on trying to flee from God and earth should have helped mankind.
Musk will never send anyone to Mars.-I am not the one who is posting, believing and worrying this is a reality. A link to a story about Musk sending people to Mars.
That is news?
Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is like a small seed that grows to a huge tree and provides shade to plenty of birds. Or that it is like a dough that rises and rises. The bible tells us Jesus is returning to earth to rule. There is no escape. Wasting trillions trying to avoid the fate of man on earth is in my opinion a waste and not of God at all.
Thoughts?

The nature to explore is one thing. Take a canoe to the far side of the lake, etc. A good part of 'space exploration' is about military applications. (for example one of the big worries about a war with Russia is that they would take out most satellites, thereby blinding the US) Mainstream space organizations like Nasa are pivoting towards escaping earth as well. There are the colossal expenditures involved as well, that could better be spent on much needed help for the poor and mankind in general. There is also the 'bad fruit' of all that space junk up there and satellites obscuring the view of creation etc. For people using a telescope and observing the universe, fine. To spend trillions on space incursions while the people on earth suffer is another matter in my opinion.Agree no one on Mars will escape the return of Christ to rule and reign. BUT I disagree that the natural nature of man to explore is an attempt to flee from God. It is my personal opinion that many leaders on the left are far more guilty of fleeing from God than those envolved in space exploration.
I see. Seriously?News, no. Blasphemy (?), yes. "D Taylor" is a flat earther. Their posts will make a lot more sense if you know that.
People will believe anything in the face of strong evidence to the contrary.I see. Seriously?
Having our faith grow is a result of God working. Space junk and waste and fearing doomsday on earth is something men do. No comparisonJesus taught that the kingdom of God is like a small seed that grows to a huge tree and provides shade to plenty of birds. Or that it is like a dough that rises and rises.
The bible does not tell us to go there. The only time space travel is mentioned, God or the angels are doing it! We are told that He will bring people down if they set a nest in the stars. We are told that destroying the earth is bad (such as military in space, space junk etc) We are told that if people have needs it is good to try to help. We are told that Jesus is returning to earth to rule (not the moon etc) The cost to the planet of trying to leave it seems too greatThere is nothing against Christianity in colonizing other planets, bringing our civilization there, our values and our beliefs.
Yes and also in the bible we know the heavens will roll up and vanish like a curtain one day. I would think that even if some people were in space at that time, He would return them to earth because people will not vanish. People continue to exist. The place where all will be judged is earth.God can rule in our hearts whether we are on Mars, on the Moon or on Earth. Or in another galaxy. In Christian worldview, God is omnipresent.
Is the poster you mentioned a bible believer? If so they should know betterPeople will believe anything in the face of strong evidence to the contrary.
? I should care what deluded people think? To flat earthers it's blasphemy.
I see. So you think that not understanding what the bible actually says (not a flat earth of course) is a basis or excuse to toss out Genesis. I can't go along with that line of reasoning.Just like you think the Bible has to be taken literally when it says God made Eve from Adam's rib, flat-earthers believe the Bible has to be taken literally when it says the heavens are a firmament, that the foundations of the earth are stationary, and that the earth is a circle (rather than a sphere).
A bible is not needed to sort out the shape of the Earth, just evidence. Is the poster you mentioned a bible believer? If so they should know better
I don't recall that is deals too much with the shape of planets/earth etc. I try to focus more on what it does talk about.A bible is not needed to sort out the shape of the Earth, just evidence.
? I should care what deluded people think?
If were measure truth by Scripture and what Jesus said, then we will know what right and wrong, deluded or true is all about.Whoa... pot meet kettle.
