So how do flights to Santiago from Sydney take less time than flights to L.A. when the flight to Santiago passes over L.A. on your flat earth map? Even a five year old can tell you that it couldn't be possible and yet these flights occur multiple times every week.

If you say the world is flat and we have a map of the flat earth and it doesn't match direct experience (my direct experience) and it doesn't match just a simple visual observation then either my experience and our simple visual observation is wrong or the map is wrong.-So
